Let's dive into a very cool position; the truck! With great credit to 10th planet master Eddie Bravo, we go over this unique position. We look at entries, control mechanics and a few of my favorite submissions from here. We also conceptually react to our opponents basic escape options and show a sneaky submission I haven't seen from here before.

I’m going to have to work these out this weekend. I’m not a truck player, but I’m realizing I really should be. It’s super simple and has so many submission options right there. Also, really love the back take to truck sequence. That looks fun to drill

What a gem of a channel. Was having ton of fun with the truck today! Never thought of going backwards with one hook in turtle, the dilemma ur partner faces when going forward or backward is awesome.

This is legendary bro. Perfect angles, length and pace! You think you can do one of these on no gi K-Guard, x guard, de la riva & any other of those weird ones. Lol not so much on submissions just knowing what the position itself is and the control mechanics. That’s my biggest misunderstanding
@EnergiaMartialArts2 жыл бұрын
Thanks man! We have videos on Xguard and de la riva on the channel I think. K guard we go in depth on in my second dvd (leglocks unlocked part 2 on bjjfanatics). Though I hope to make a free video for here some day too!

I hit that corkscrew toe hold from the truck all the time, but also from being inside the single leg x by bringing their foot from my hip to the inside and setting the corkscrew grip from there. I like to take a deep bite on their shin with the crease of my elbow, then connect the hands and crank slow. It’s usually a very quick tap.
@EnergiaMartialArts2 жыл бұрын
Yeah that's a nice position to hit it from. And 50/50 has some options to go into it when my opponent hides his heel.

You could've used better angles, though, so I could see better.
@EnergiaMartialArts Жыл бұрын
Yeah I agree! Fun fact, this one is a year (or more) old. We used a static positioning for the camera. Our camera guy Ward (who is my use here) now films all our instructions with a gimble to have way better angles. Check out some of our more recent videos and see if you notice the improvement ;)
@robertnegron6804 Жыл бұрын
@@EnergiaMartialArts It's still a good video...I'm just trying to soak in as much as I can, and I really couldn't see how you hooked your leg when you rolled over to get the truck position, not from the angle you were in.
@EnergiaMartialArts Жыл бұрын
@@robertnegron6804 yeah I understand! Hope to this one over some day. But it's cool to see the progress as we get better filming each year
