From what am seeing in this video, the driver didn't want to stop the truck...he had many opportunities to stop it...but he continued with it...

Momentum is your worst enemy in this situation. There's nothing worse than having failed brakes and you can't changedown because the load is pushing the truck so the engine is at high rev already. I hope he made it.

But at 02:55 the truck slowed a bit, that was his only chance to hit the wall on the right and stop the machine

He was over speeding, a lot of Zambian gears to save fuel ,thats a big risk truckers do

Don't say anything if you have never drove a truck before, trucks and a small they is huge different between those two and driving is not the same.

@LandOfTheFree1776 as I was watching the video, I realized that he knows that road perfectly, there aren't any sharp turns and downhills... He was just cruising nicely 😂😂😂 that's how we drivers do... When it's a straight downhill will let the truck hit 120kmp so it's easy...

@@bayeni5223 okay but I'm a truck driver myself, that road got no sharp turns and downhills that can terrify a good seasoned driver, that's why he wasn't stressing

I think the driver contributed much in this. I believe his speed downhill might have been the cause,he might have miscalculated. Again, knowing the road too well doesn't not mean you will find the road clear. Look at the way he passed the first truck,if there was on coming traffic it was going to be game over.

All trucks should be fitted with CB radios to communicate and assist each other in emergencies. Not for small talk.

That's driver error, unprofessional and ignorance, the rules are simple on steep ascent and descent engage the lower gear then are safe

He was supposed to stop with the trees when the speed slowed down on hill. I guess he got unconscious because he wouldn't wait for another downhill no even gear change down would have helped . The Camera man is also the most stupid human being that following distance uphill was too close if the truck had stopped it would have reversed with full speed.
