She took the money from her in-laws as safe keeping for them so that she can help with their funeral someday. She stayed for her in-laws because she cared and felt badly for them (in other words, she's sacrificing her own happiness). Her in-laws did stipulate that if their son cheats on her again, then she can run and take all the money. If she took the money and ran just to keep the money, then she would bring bad karma onto herself. If at some point she decides she cannot stay anymore, then she needs to give the money back to her in-laws.

Omg! Such a dramatic story. Felt like I was watching a movie on the big screen. Lol! Glad you stood your ground and let this cheater know what reality is like. I don't blame you for going back because that's your choice but if that's me, I wouldn't go back regardless. Once that door is closed, reopening will mean you never left in the first place. Trust is hard to build, once it shatter, it hard to put back into place without the constant reminder of all the cracks and broken pieces you couldn't find to put them back in place. Good luck!

Good story.. the truth is because you still love your husband too that's you went back its not the money. The money was to buy you back and plus your love was still there for your husband for you to be able to except him back into your life. I heard truckers life is never ideal. I have friends and relatives who were truckers as early as the mid 80s where all of their lives ended in shambles except one guy in my town who was a long hauler trucker for 7 years died of liver cancer. To the lady in this story, I hail you for your bravery, guts, and confident! A 30 years marriage is worth sacrificing no matter what people say. You be your own judge and do what is best for you and the people you love, not to satisfy other's desire.

Wow!!! I am so proud of you. You are very strong woman, all the women out there should learn this from you. If that was me, I would do the same thing. You’re not stupid for going back. Most importantly it is easier for us as outsider to judge, saying if it was me I won’t go back. Until we are placed in your shoes, we really can’t say.
