Hey, As far as the water on the floor. The a/c drain tube/ hose is plugged somewhere. On the right side(passenger) in the engine compartment, you will find a/c drain tube, get one of the wire coat hangers, straight it out and stick it up that tube a few times, water should drain much better. That is a temporary fix only.

My drive axle was vibrating for about a week before it fell out so definitely get that looked at. I was backing into a dock to get unloaded when it fell out. Lucky I was home when it happened because it took Freightliner in tolleson Arizona 2 1/2 weeks to replace it.

Make sure you’re vent tubes on your axel housings are not plugged up with crab, it will cause it to push oil out or wheel seals etc...

Have you checked your drain for the evaporator? If it’s clogged it’ll build up water in your a/c box and leak on your floor.

Not sure if you have tried it but had a pete that would dump water on floor, the condenser was real dirty and the drain tray and tube had a lot of dust build up.

Check out your drain tube for your ac it may be stopped up causing your water in the floorboard. Had the same problem in a 95 Pete

The rust on the frame rails on that Pete is it just surface rust or is it into the frame itself ? The cab looks to be well kept. How does the inside of the cab look ? It’s ashamed the frame is rusting like that but that’s that salt life down your way.

It's just surface rust. Probably wouldn't even need sandblasting but nutshell blasting would suffice. Twinstick Garage restored a 359 in far worse shape than that.

Landstar has never been known for having "top notch" trailers. In 1996 I ran a "power only" for them which was my first and last. The hassle getting the trailer fixed wasn't worth it. You'd have to run the numbers but leasing or buying your own can be a benefit (don't forget to include breakdown costs) Also, is continually repairing/rebuilding a beater truck more or less expensive than new truck payments?

@@Damient301 You're forgetting that the truck has been sitting for at least two years. Everything under the hood needs rebuilt or replaced. All the hoses and seals need replaced. Fuel tanks need pulled and sand blasted. Inside? I'd buy it for $1000.00 MAX.
