Time management is key to success in trucking. If you want to be able enjoy truck life and home life together. then you must me highly organized with your time and thoughts! It starts days, weeks and sometimes months to make time go smoother on the road.
some tips are take off the roads, make things aviaible to grab without opening containers. put containers inside of containers if needed!!! If you are able pre food ahead by cutting things up. You don't have to go without just being you live on the road in a semi

When my wife and I was trucking I would only eat one meal a day also only dinner time also and we definitely do miss it but after what happened companies would not touch also love how ya’ll make time to relax and being able to stay prepared

Love your channel!! Found recently and only watched about a dozen so far but will go and watch more of the older vids as you guys are so helpful and informative. It really helps finding the right YT Channels to follow when you're out to learn as much as you can take in about every aspect of this new career path I'm going down. God bless you both. Seems like most truckers are on a tight time frame, my son driver for a company out of Indiana, they haul mainly automotive parts, usually the loads are pretty light. He hauls from Chicago to northern Tennessee 3 times a week, it's no touch loads, so it's mainly all driving, he get's frustrated when he gets stuck in traffic on the interstates, it cut's into his drive time, don't think it effects his on duty time. His company doesn't let him deviate from the routes they have laid out and they track him and the trailers via GPS. He makes a really good wage with great benefits so getting stuck in traffic is all in a days work....

Sounds like your son has a good gig!!!!! I would just encourage him bot to focus on the negative of traffic. I being in a truck alone it will eat him alive long term. It will start a downward spiral that leads to him hating his job. Unfortunately life is about taking the good with the bad. Praying for your boy as he is out on the road
