Almost a year on from this video's release and it's amazing to see how far Tim has come. Gone from spending nights out in the Volvo, to possibly buying it from Data Shredders to add to his Scania collection. I've loved watching this channel grow from even when it was just TikTok. I’m an owner operator in the western United States. Us drivers here, if we have to over night on a side street always check our pins first thing to for the same reason. If we over night at a truck stop you’re generally ok and don’t have to worry as much but still always check before taking off. Great vlog Tim! Love seeing the differences and the similarities to us here in the states.

Passed my class 1 in 1976, our trucks had no sleeper cabs, we sleept across seats, use to be aways 3/4 nights aweek on multidrop and collection work, no sat navs, no mobile phones, no Taco we used lie sheets, (log books) and trailers were all rope and sheet, but still loved the job, keep up the good work and stay safe out there

Class video, I live just next to the Team Valley! The A1 is being upgraded to 3 lanes (4 lanes southbound) between Team Valley and Washington where it turns into a Motorway. Needs a new bridge over the railway line hence all the construction. Third bit of A1 upgrading round here, the Newcastle bypass is getting 3 lanes each way and best one is it’s being dualled all the way from Morpeth to Ellingham near Berwick. Rightly so we’ve waited long enough. Whole thing needs dualling (grade separated) to Edinburgh!

I remember driving up and down the A1 from Edinburgh all the way to Northampton stopping at Scotch Corner and everywhere in between. In fact all over the UK. Now I go Las Vegas to all around California and Arizona. Not massively different from trucking in the UK, I haul gasoline here but it was general freight in the UK. Great memories, keep it up.

Loving the vlogs, I live just north of Gateshead, was very strange watching my journey home from work haha. The road works on/around bowes incline (just before team valley) is to widen the road, its a huge project taking until 2025 to complete. Keep the vlogs coming 😀

Tim, a thing I've seen some truckers do is wrap the seat belts around the door handles and then clip them in. Makes it very secure.

I think that you're feeling good after sleeping in your lorry because when you're sleeping, you're in a somewhat vulnerable state. Therefore, your mind is in some way attached to your lorry where you slept as it protected you in that sense. It's all quite subconscious but that may be why people love these kinds of videos. I personally love these videos as they remind me of sitting in the backseat of my dads car, driving through the stary night along beside mountain sides and trees. I was probably the age of 3 or 4 when this occurred however, it stuck.

I used to spent nites out wiv my old man in the 80s in Wales in the F10, NO nite heater in that thing, cold nites but used to love it, my old man used to tramp out in the Leyland marathon in the 70s, you had to tough in them days to be a tramper, do miss them days thou loved it so much!! I know my dads work mate he had a Leyland marathon day cab which he tramped out in, used to put a door across both seat and peace of form for his bed, mad days lol! Loving ur vlogs!!
