In Finland,Sweden and Estonia you need to take course and have special licence to become oversize pilot car/van driver. Before it you need to have truck/trailer licence to even take that course. Only then you get special paper to be allowed drive pilot car---so you know what your doing. Pilot car is way more than car with beacons on it ;)
