I really enjoyed seeing how Highway 42 has improved, thanks for sharing it. As a kid Highway 42 was my highway. I can remember my granddad telling stories about driving the stage between Coos Bay and Roseburg. Yep, one with 6 horses. It took them 3 days to make the 60 mile trip. In the mid 1940 's it took 2 hours and I would get car sick ever time from all the curves. A couple of things: the "basketballs" in the trees are mistletoe in oak trees. And, the area is pretty but incomes are generally low. It's an area where the people are hard and have to work hard to scrape by.

My grandfather ran a tow truck company (Oscars Tow service) out of Coquille back in the 40's. My dad and uncle used to ride along when not in school and help hook up vehicles. I heard many bad stories of accidents in this road and into the river. Still have family across there from Coos Bay to Roseburg.

I watch you guys driver on these road although I live in New Brunswick Canada. I find people in big truck are very polite but these other people that think their cars or smaller trucks go pass me too fast but I try to be stay and stay back behind big trucks and just watch the traffic. Have fun driving as I was told that I should have been a big truck driver but I am too old now and I love staying home watching you guys and gals driving truck. God Bless you . Stay safe!

I get motion sickness REALLY easy, but I wanted to see my hometown so bad. Just to see it got cut. That's ok, at least it was early in the video. Thanks for the trip down memory lane! By the way, the mountainous part toward the beginning of the video, the part that was cut, used to get about 2-3 feet of snow every winter and trucks would get stuck if they didn't have chains. That doesn't happen anymore ☹ just too warm nowadays. Also Ben Irving is a reservoir. 😉

Good to see someone still driving the autoroutes, where as here travel is somewhat restricted to vital supplies only and if her in Holyrood had her way, trucking wise Scottish drivers would only be able to drive as far as the border with England and then drop their trailers and pick up what was available for deliveries up North. I tell you Mike over here its crazy, the ideas the governments come up with but I'm stuck indoors and have plenty to keep me busy - so Keep Trucking Three Fellah and lets see them routes you choose!!

In my neighborhood, people outside of it would install Trump signs even though it's certain that no one in my area would vote for the guy. Another thing is that you're likely to see Trump signs all over the country compared to democratic ones because 50% of the country lives in only 5% of the country whereas republicans are likely to live in less populated areas along the other 95% of land mass. It's why when you look at a 3D election map, republican's disappear.
