You look happy to be back at Traveloko & they look happy to have you back. Full steam ahead. Wish all the best. Your respected as a person & past trucker by the vast majority & are thus an important ambassador for this company. Always a big bonus to have people in an office who were themselves drivers. They relate & know what the other drivers are going thru. on a daily basis.

Greetings and many Blessings from the Buckeye State ..... No criticism, no questions from here Sir! I totally understand that sometimes seasons come when 'the grass does certainly look greener' .... I'm retired, and can personally testify that these times do in fact come for many of us. They came a couple of times for me. Again, Blessings to you in all that you do. You're a man of integrity, and we look forward to many more videos of 'Life After Trucking'. Traveloko must be a worthwhile company, or you wouldn't be back. Stay safe and well.

I'm another Buckeye that has no questions/criticism for Jacks choices. The grass has looked greener across the road many times in my career. I've always stayed where I am though and have no regrets. I've seen many companies come and go. He took a shot, it didn't work out, so, he went back. More power to him.

@@MikeBrown-ii3pt Greetings to my fellow Buckeye! Indeed, life can take us all in different directions. Some, like yourself choose to stay planted, and since you have no regrets, would appear to have been the perfect choice. I personally was a bit of a wondered, never knowing exactly where I wanted to land permanently, so pursued several paths .... Tho I likely would have ended up financially more successful, I always stayed employed and self-supportive and ok. My son sent a heartfelt note to me not long ago, thanking me for instilling positive work ethic in him. He is doing very well having achieved the title of production supervisor with a national company, with great opportunity for advancement. I guess at the end of the day, I have no complaints either. Thank you for your reply, Sir ... The right choices seem to have finished out well for you too!

@@robertbowling8393 My wife and I married right out of high school in 1987. I worked a factory job to support her and her dream of becoming a nurse. After starting our family, she supported me in my dream of becoming an owner operator truck driver. I obviously had/have a bit of wanderlust, but, always come home. Our son (our oldest) has a master's degree in historical preservation from Eastern Michigan University and works for Habitat For Humanity. Our oldest daughter (the middle child), graduated from UNOH and, after giving us twin grandsons 4 years ago, is working on opening her own auto body shop. Our second daughter (the baby lol!) is in her sophomore year at Ol Miss. She wants to (and will) become a forensic scientist. We might leave home but, as Buckeyes, we're all just hard headed enough to make it through and succeed in life! I think it has something to do with our thick, winter blood! Have a great night!

@@MikeBrown-ii3pt That's an awesome story of success!!! (Several times over). Lol .... I have the one son (now 50), and his dreams are coming to fruition .... My only 'blood' grand-daughter is taking classes now to become an RN, and her hubby just went into corrections (as an officer!) lol ... I am, as you are, being Blessed to watch my family succeed. My step grand-daughter will soon be going to law school, and step-grandson will graduate HS in a couple of years and plans to go into construction/carpentry. I love to see young people with their heads on straight, making something of themselves through their God-given talents. Thnx again for the gab .... I sure hope that it works out well in times like these considering that the world is getting crazy. When the trucks no longer are on the roads with the produce we all need like food and toilet paper then we have a real problem. Just try to stay safe and if you need to have a meeting with someone maybe it's worth to do it outdoors. In any case - one tip that was on Swedish radio this morning - watch trucker KZbin videos when you are in isolation. (I still count this channel as trucker channel as it's so closely related to that)

@RT 87 Could be. I'll NEVER leave my truck. I've seen many drivers do that and regret it. My wife and I already have plans to convert my Classic into the baddest motorhome on the road when we retire. Have you ever seen a 2006 Freightliner Classic XL motorhome? You might within the next 5 years or so. We plan to have lots of adventures. There's even an upfitter out west that will design a camper body/interior that extends from my current condo sleeper. That way, I get to keep my dual 8" straight pipes!

Mike Brown I worked at a campground for years before becoming a driver. I have seen just that. It is awesome without question. Best wishes to you and the mrs on your travels. Also seen many guys retire the truck but pull a 35-40’ 5th wheel. Definitely don’t need that much power but I can see why now. Just cause your use to it and it looks cool going down the road.
