What year truck is it your working on mine is a 2012 freightliner with 10 speed Eaton auto and it’s doing the same thing on occasion it won’t shift into high range but it’s mainly the high to low shift I can pull over shut it off give it a minute start it back and it’s fine

What about that solenoid portion that bolts onto the top of the valve body? Has the electrical connection to it? Aren't there any parts in there that should be replaced when doing this job?

No it’s either good or bad , and can be pretty pricey.

I never could find a torque spec , I had called the dealership and they never had one either, so I just put them on tight and about even without forcing it over tight . My truck has worked fine with no problems after replacing the o-rings . Let me know how yours turns out !!

I have 2005 freightline columbia 2005 smartshift transmission eaton replaced in april got damaged i had 1 year warnty but mechanic is saying its not covered because accumulator causes that so i am try to figure out or he is just trying to getting away from warranty

Well I can tell you if I was replacing a transmission the actuator would be replaced also . I really do not see it causing a transmission failure thought . All it does is sent air to a piston that pushes a rod forward or backwards . If your in a normal standard its just the hi/low switch on the shifter . So in saying that either your stuck in low range , high range , on in between. In between will just stick you normally in one gear . And the way you can tell if it’s working or not is put the truck in reverse with your paddle shifter push in and pull out this should make you in low range reverse and high range reverse. You can hear it move . Im not there to see the issue, but even if it is stuck it’s cheap and simple to fix this part , and it’s a normal maintenance item to do , the seal and gasket kit is cheap too ! As for the transmission I do not see this killing the transmission.

Got columbia 2006 eaton fuller ultrashift 10 speed generation 2. When I stop and then go to reverse it won’t go into gear anymore it will just flash with arrow down. I have to wait for it until it goes back to gear and sometimes it takes more than 15 minutes. Any help? Thanks.

I Have a super 10 on my Columbia and it randomly just started where it would jump out of 9th gear it will go right back in with no problem or go right into 10th it seems to happen more a higher rpms but sometimes it will like skip or jerk like it's trying to kick out around medium rpms does this sound like it this could be my problem also I have had a couple people tell me they think it is

If it’s popping out of gear then this is your transmission most of the time , unfortunately prepare yourself for a rebuild .

No mine is automatic but has a clutch to take off with, yours does not . It’s a different transmission style altogether.
