The dipstick comes straight, but you can bend it , it bent to contour the the dipstick tube and just stayed formed like that .

Well these harnesses do wear out , over time the heat just destroys everything. So basically buying a new harnesses took care of any and all weak spots , shorts , cracks in the rubber , possible ground outs , corrosion, etc. plus if you have a garage do this for you , then you save money in labor vs paying a person to find a bad spot . Then also you have a new part not a fixed one . ☝️

Apply weatherproof caulking between the air spring platform and the frame rail . Rub rubber preservative on the fabric once in a while . Use solid brass push lock connectors .

Using calking will trap moisture and dirt after the calking fails . Part need to be able to air dry . If anything use a rubberizing liquid as you see me do when I cleaned my frame rails and rubberized everything, in a later video

I have 2005 freightline columbia 2005 smartshift transmission eaton replaced in april got damaged i had 1 year warnty but mechanic is saying its not covered because accumulator causes that so i am try to figure out or he is just trying to getting away from warranty

Well I can tell you if I was replacing a transmission the actuator would be replaced also . I really do not see it causing a transmission failure thought . All it does is sent air to a piston that pushes a rod forward or backwards . If your in a normal standard its just the hi/low switch on the shifter . So in saying that either your stuck in low range , high range , on in between. In between will just stick you normally in one gear . And the way you can tell if it’s working or not is put the truck in reverse with your paddle shifter push in and pull out this should make you in low range reverse and high range reverse. You can hear it move . Im not there to see the issue, but even if it is stuck it’s cheap and simple to fix this part , and it’s a normal maintenance item to do , the seal and gasket kit is cheap too ! As for the transmission I do not see this killing the transmission.

You should use a dust mask with all that dust from the grinders and wash your truck after every salt pour or snow storms. Your chassis will last longer.

Awesome. The fan on my truck doesn't move at all. Works only with the inside switch. What would possibly be? Thermostat, sensor, fan clutch?

First you need to see how the switch is hooked up . Is it an air switch inside the truck or like I did in my truck is it electrical?

I just changed mines after jumping from the selonied was the only way to turn on the truck for a week. Nothing has changed now i have to jump on he new solenoid. What eslse could i look at?

What year truck is it your working on mine is a 2012 freightliner with 10 speed Eaton auto and it’s doing the same thing on occasion it won’t shift into high range but it’s mainly the high to low shift I can pull over shut it off give it a minute start it back and it’s fine

Got columbia 2006 eaton fuller ultrashift 10 speed generation 2. When I stop and then go to reverse it won’t go into gear anymore it will just flash with arrow down. I have to wait for it until it goes back to gear and sometimes it takes more than 15 minutes. Any help? Thanks.

The brand is called K&N , I bought mine on eBay 19 years ago . You can still buy them on there . I use them on my semi truck, pickup truck , street bikes , dirt bikes. I bought my first one when I was 18 years old and now I am 49 . If you keep your vehicles a long time they are a great investment due to you never need to buy another for that vehicle like you due the factory paper kind . They are all washable.

If it starts sticking open on you and leaking off constantly then that’s when you replace the whole unit . Now in saying that there are rebuild kits for some models of air dryers . Between replacing and rebuilding it’s up to the matter of cost and keeping in mind your getting a whole new unit that will work or your rebuilding a unit that can have more problems then the rebuild kit covers . As for the filter this should be replaced at least once a year depending on where you live and if you live in a wet climate. I live in Ohio in the USA 🇺🇸, and normally replace mine around October to November before winter starts in .

@@Starkeyfamilyfixing it started leaking intermittently. I replaced the purge valve months ago but not the filter. It started purging excessively then it stopped and purged normal. I want to just replace the purge valve again and replace the filter this time, because freightliner wants $843 after tax for the whole new kit, but judging by what you’re saying I probably need to just go ahead and replace the whole thing sighh 🥲

I'm losing my mind trying to find the screw to drain the oil, obviously now I know its the same as the sight glass. How in the hell do you get it off and drain the damn oil....help. SC Goose

7/8 socket , the sight glass is a screw drains here then you add the fluid at the top of housing.

Look at a company named Litheli for battery. They are now selling another style of tools that will not fit. Walmart sell them. When I looked at the price of just a battery I thought it was too much. But as I was looking at other tools they offer, I thought that I could use a blower. NO regrets. The offer a few models weed wips that has the same battery. I thought 40 volts, Great! I should have got one model better. It had only one string that came out. And it is a little weak. But because it's battery powered, It's so convenint to use. I rather use it instead of my gas powered one.

The air pressure bleeds off this is normal, plus when your parked and the truck is running your suspension is not moving so normally it is a little lower.

the only thing ill do differently is ill use a cherry picker to carry the turbo so my back doesnt break trying get the turbo to align with the bolts. very good video though, thanks so much.

You are loosing a lot of torque because of the 3/4 to 1/2 adaptor, use a 3/4 socket, it will get those nuts off fine, also the 1/2 one key gun has the torque setting function but the 3/4 gun doesn’t have the option in the app, for reasons that only Milwaukee know 🤷🏻♂️.

I Have a super 10 on my Columbia and it randomly just started where it would jump out of 9th gear it will go right back in with no problem or go right into 10th it seems to happen more a higher rpms but sometimes it will like skip or jerk like it's trying to kick out around medium rpms does this sound like it this could be my problem also I have had a couple people tell me they think it is

If it’s popping out of gear then this is your transmission most of the time , unfortunately prepare yourself for a rebuild .

I put the two top bolts in half way in then I mount the hub fans assembly to the two top bolts and I put the third bolt in and lock all three bolts down
