A lot of people don't understand that giving workers from other departments or other companies goes a long way to making your life much easier. I had locations in New England that had a 8:00AM official start time. There were a few employees that came in at 6:00 AM that said they would take my load early. Doughnuts to the rescue. In and out before 6:30AM and back on the road back home. You scratch my back, I'll scratch yours. A emergency repair on radiator fan blades, is to remove close to the same amount of material on the opposing blade. Keeps the fan balanced and doesn't send it through a $2,500 radiator. Happy Birthday. I saw on the video that the bottom was red with rust. Rust binds the soil so that it does not slide so easily. When the dump truck is left unused for several days, rust will form on the metal. A preventive treatment with anti-rust oil spray, which could be diluted waste oil, could prevent rust and save time when emptying the dumper. So if you know that the dumper will be standing for a few days, you could spray it so that it does not corrode on metal.

Happy Birthday. Fan in Texas from Olympia. Class A CDL out of Bates in south Tacoma. Horrible drivers everywhere. You have to pay attention on the roads constantly, everywhere now. The good thing is, if anyone runs into you, trailer or not, you will probably not feel much. Why are you giving donuts out on your Birthday? They should be giving you stuff. Out of Olympia. Freaking raining all the time. Must be a cool year raining this time of year. Rained on the 4th of July last year I think in Olympia, or the year before. I don't remember the last time that happened in 20+ years. Weather has been changing that's for sure. Be ready for crazy weather all over the place. In Washington the weather forecast has been 50/50. Since I was a child. Toss a coin and you can probably out gamble the weather channel out of Washington. Don't ever rely on the weather news in Washington.

What gets me is how do they let drivers without a brain in their head be allowed to rent a U-Haul if they can't see a vehicle your size right in front of them in broad daylight because they're too busy screwing with their cellphones or whatever is in the truck cab and then leave the scene of an accident? I had that happen to me on the LIE in NY. stopped in traffic and a girl ran into the back of my tank trailer. Trailer fine, car totaled. Did all the paperwork and a month later the company said she claims you rolled back into her. Always something.

You're right about getting the police involved in that accident. I knew a truck driver that was in an incident like you and he let the driver go since he didnt damage his truck. About a month later his company gets a claim against them for that accident. He regretted having done that.

It's a good thing you contacted the appropriate law enforcement agency to help you document the traffic collision. The documentation will be helpful in dealing with the appropriate insurance company in regard to the corresponding condition of the pup trailer. The first thing that comes to my mind after you mentioned the fact that the dman who hit your teuck had fled the scene is to advise you to watch out for any scams that this fella might try to pull on you.

Always, always get the cops. I have been in three accidents in my 40 years of driving, two were being rear ended by another driver. Those two drivers denied any fault, even after I called the cops and they investigated, the other drivers denied any wrong doing.
