Smoke Switch On 5.9 Cummins - Trying and Failing

This is the process I went through trying to get a smoke switch to work. All i used was two wire taps and some wire as well as a on/off switch. Next few videos will show what it can do.

Nope, a quadzilla would work, or any other programmer that taps the map sensor and the data link

You said you put the switch in backwards so when the switch is faced down its on and when it's off its up

All these smoke switches do is tell the ECM that the turbo is at full boost (5volts going through) so you're going through all this and it only works until the turbo catches up 5 seconds later.

Yes I know what a smoke switch does lol.... Also it doesn't even last 5 seconds unless you have a really really laggy turbo, it usually lasts about 1.5 seconds

You need a resister for this to work like it's supposed to or the comp will cancel out the signal to dump fuel. Yours only works in park or neutral when the comp isn't giving signal to the map because the computer tells the comp there is no need bc the truck is not driving aka allowing you to use the smoke switch. If you use the resister it will let you use it when in drive.
