Canadian Here. Majority of Canadians want him out. His approval ratings are in the 20s. But our Parliamentary system allows his minority party to stray in power because of NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh. Singh consistently criticizes Trudeau but when any Non-confidence vote comes up that would force an election to get rid of Trudeau the NDP always sides with him and vote to keep him in government. Welcome to Canada where everything feels broken.

Here's the problem: Because as the leader of a nation, he's supposed to realize that his role is to exemplify the highest standard of public service. Terms are four years and one of the reasons for that is that leaders in the highest offices basically give four years of their lives to serve the public. Their personal life takes a backseat and they don't get to go surfing in Tofino or dancing at concerts or guest star on RuPaul's Drag Race or taking vacations with the Aga Khan. They serve us until they can't anymore, or four years runs out and someone else sacrifices four years of their own priorities for something bigger than themselves. There's never been riots like these in Canada, in the city of Justin's own constituency at that, and is he serving the public interest, the public trust or any member of the citizenry? No. He's doing what he always does - uses his position and privilege as PM to serve himself.

I know conservatives in both Canada and the USA were triggered to see a family that loves each other out for a family night which conservatives didn't know was a thing. So seeing Justin Trudeau and his wife whom he is separated from and his teenage daughter having a fun night out at at Taylor Swift concert made conservatives furious with rage. Unlike the USA where Trump thinks he can order police to do whatever he wants, in Canada the PM is not in charge of police forces across the country. Provinces in Canada have jurisdiction over police in their provinces. The feds have jurisdiction over the federal RCMP only.

Oh for f*cks sake. Conservatives in Canada and in the USA don't know policing in Canada is under provincial jurisdiction. The ONLY time the federal government gets involved is when there is a threat to national security which is federal jurisdiction OR when there is a threat to federal critical infrastructure such as railways, roads, bridges and border crossings. Provinces also have to ask the federal government for assistance like they did when conservative anti-vaxxers held Canada hostage for 21 days a few years ago. This minor riot which lasted not even two hours was contained by Montreal police and there were a few cars overturned, a few windows broken and some attacked police. Not in the numbers you seen MAGA attack police during the Jan 6th riots in Capitol Hill. No the province of Quebec did not ask Justin Trudeau for federal assistance to deal with a minor riot.

That's what happened in Montreal and police were quick to contain it within two hours. Not like the Jan 6th riots where there was a lot of vandalism, many police officers assaulted.
