Trudeau is loosing because People here vote based on how economy is doing unlike India where people vote for religion, caste etc. America is similar to India people who vote for conservative will vote for conservative not matter what happens. Canada is a normal democracy. There is no group in majority so a politician cannot come and say that group is the root of your problem. No politician will come and say well Muslim are the problem in Canada. Even the conservative does not do that here. Shekharji globe and mail is not center to right as you mentioned it is hardcore liberal supporter like our TOI and HT of yester years. Canada is deeply devided geographically by ideology.ontario, Quebec and Atlantic provinces are liberal strongholds specifically GTA and SW Ontario. Entire west and prairie are hardcore conservative supporters barring Vancouver and suburbs. One thing that needs to be kept in mind is the rising anti-Indian sentiment in Canada due to mass immigration from India using the student visa program. Severe restrictions have already been implemented. The possibility of mass deportations and ethnic attacks cannot be ruled out as well. Another thing which many Indians do not understand is that Canada's policy wrt Khalistan will not change if Conservatives come to power. The Liberal-Conservative divide in Canada is largely on economic matters such as government control, regulations, taxation etc. They do not have any differences on things like foreign policy.

I don’t think you understand what foreign policy is. The real architect of anti-India sentiment is Jagmeet Singh. Students from India has nothing to do with anything, they are there with permission from Canadian government. 98% Canadians have absolutely nothing against India. The only reason for bitterness between two countries are Khalistani extremists. If India downgrades its relationship with Canada further, Canadians would like to get their country back from Sikhs. India doesn’t need Canada for anything and with its growing stature can ignore Canada.

JT has given voice to many marginalized communities e.g. indigenous, lgbtq, immigrants etc. its his bad luck that covid hit and economy did not recover soin enough, he stood with citizen,pr and even with TFW when it was needed the most. Financial help was given to everybody even non residents. All his haters got that help and took advantage. His government stood against the corporate lobby and put taxes on the rich. Unions have done major contract negotiations for the workers during his tenure. But unfortunately he has to deal with the after math of covid. I feel sorry for the Canadians and feel somewhat lucky as Indian because in India, Rahul Gandhi is still only in the opposition party. Canada have their own RaGa but as their PM. Sir! Prime minister of Canada and his party which holds over 50 % of popular votes in Canada. A by-election election held in Toronto where the person won received only 14600 votes and his majority is only 600 votes. 84 candidates contested in this election and therefor, the voters were panic and may not trace their correct choice as because of too many candidates. This riding was represented by one liberal member for more 29 years. May be voters wanted a new face ?

You are very wrong on your data. Justin Trudeau won a majority only in his first election, w015. The last 2 elections Trudeau has lost the popular vote and only won a minority, which is why he needed the coalition with the NDP to keep him in power, get his bills and policies passed. Conservatives, despite loosing the last 2 elections, actually won the popular vote.

It is too simplistic to say that most hated Democratic leader in world is likely to loose election. In all probability they will form coalition with left wing NDP. Leader of NDP Jagmeetsingh is lot more supportive of khalistani movement. Conservatives have to win majority on their own.
