In Marcy’s vision all three would have been transported together to a fantasy world where they could go on adventures and be together forever. She didn’t know they’d be separated with no way to contact each other for months. Anne seemed like the only one who wanted to return home though (hence why her outfit never changed unlike Sasha and Marcy who embraced their new roles). She thought Amphibia was all fun and games while Anne and Sasha have had to fight to survive and faced numerous traumatic experiences, something Marcy probably never had to deal with cause she was in the safety of Newtopia the whole time.

I feel bad for *all the girls.* -for Marcy, she was about to leave her home and best friends, she just didn't want to be alone. She was used by Andrias and Mayor Toadstool for their selfish reasons. She thinks her friends don't like her anymore cause she betrayed them. And she was a 13 year old who literally got stabbed in the back by one of the person she trusted. -for Anne, well, She kinda has toxic friends. I mean Sasha pushes her around all the time and betrayed her twice. And Marcy got her stuck in Amphibia and make her miss her parents. And by watching the episode she had been in a lot of trauma, from giant mantises trying to kill them to Sasha almost committing suicide, Giant vegatable monster she created to the people she trusted only to backstab her. - Lastly Sasha. She was upset that Anne stood up to her that when the tower almost fell she almost committed suicide. And she was mean to Anne and Marcy because she was just protecting them, there has to be someone to protect them.

A Few Things in Marcy's Defense: 1.) She didn't really expect the music box to work. Her intentions were the same as wishing on a star; looking for a solution in a "magic" source you know won't work but deep down, hope it will. 2.) Marcy seemed to be on board with the goal getting everyone home UNTIL Andrius stepped. He planted the idea of an interdimensional voyage and a life full of adventure. 3.) She tried to make everything right when she (finally) realized she was in the wrong. I also feel a lot of sympathy towards Marcy as a character. Although nothing's been said yet, her actions give a lot of incite into her family life. She's crazy smart and excels in all academic fields. But if I had to guess, I'd say her parents try to keep her mind academics and away from pretty much else. Marcy plays videogames and TTRPGs to escape from the constant academics pushed on her by her parents. The lack of sympathy in her parents' text message also speaks volumes. Them deciding to move away, to pull Marcy from the only friends she's had, and isolate herself even further than she already is was the last straw.

I understand your point on 3 but we still know nothing about Marcy’s family life except that they were planning to move. I bet they do want her to have a good and fun social life outside of school and are proud for her grades, but I think they did see Sasha as a bad influence but maybe they have a warmer view on Anne due to her protecting Marcy, plus her dad did want her to understand the situation and why they have to move(probably having financial issues and wanted to get a better paying job to support his family but Marcy was scared because unlike Anne or Sasha she’s not good of making connections and they were her only friends plus she might’ve been bullied at school and Anne and Sasha protected her and didn’t want to lose that protection since she is so dependent on them. Also I bet she doesn’t want to feel like an outcast at school due to her interest but her parents probably used the old saying that many kids her age would want to be friends with her and that she just has to try but she wouldn’t listen to reason

I think 1 thing in particular that made true colors stab worse(at least for me) was that her whole reasoning in backstory, it was, speaking from experience, making complete sense. She was about to be torn out of her perfectly good life, away from her friends., and she wanted to stay with them. She's found some random straw of possible hope, so she clings to it, and, when it actually works, she's caught up in the high of a *fantasy world* and it doesn't occur to her that she did something dumb. I know when this happened to me,and it did, if I had the opportunity, I probably would have taken it. I'm not saying what Marcy did was good, just that it was real. so anyway, i cried. great writing.

*AMPHIBIA SPOILERS* Marcy has been very selfish but not in an evil way, more of a naive way. Marcy wasn’t thinking what her friends might’ve wanted and just assumed that they wanted to leave, but on the other hand she was going to move out of state and possibly never see her friends again. Can we blame her? She meant well but ended up getting STABBED. You don’t see that every day on a kids show, especially Disney. The way they wrote Marcy is incredible. King Andrias played them all perfectly to his plan and once it was all set in motion it was too late.
