CPS was foul for not interviewing those kids privately.
@Weirdkauz3 жыл бұрын
It's hard to swallow, right?!? And then afterwards NEVER ever checking on that house again! I mean ONE surprise visit and they would have found Susan chained under the table, but no… I know why, though: the stories Susan must have told them, though true, seem so horrible as to be unbelievable. One instinctively prefers a lying runaway teenager to acknowledging such horror from a mother.

Idk about this case, or the laws at the time of these crimes, but really CPS can only do so much, they also rely on law enforcement, and court hearings. It also depends on the state laws, some states it’s easier to remove a child from a family.

I’ve been investigated by cps, spoken to police, and had my room searched because of my half-brother
@missbrooke94584 жыл бұрын
CPS is too busy chasing fraudulent claims, at least around here. In my experience, people use CPS as a means to hurt someone. There’s a woman who’s extremely jealous of me. She called and made several false accusations and I of course welcomed them into my home because I have nothing to hide. my social worker was forthcoming about how many times she sees this happen. She said people will use them over civil disputes just to ruffle feathers. I will say in my case that they were extremely professional and immediately knew the case wasn’t valid. She still had to drive out to my house again to close the case and do all of the paperwork. I just prayed that while she was wasting time on a false claim that another child did not actually need her.

I am most mad that they never did a backup check. One little surprise visit at any time would have shown them poor Susan under that table…
@mae61252 жыл бұрын
When Susan actually escaped and the police found her on the side of the road clearly in mental distress, they didn’t believe what happened to her and took her to a mental health facility where most of the nurses there didn’t believe her either! They called Theresa and she convinced them all Susan was severely mentally disturbed and they sent her home. Ball was dropped in every single category for these poor kids

So i'm seeing a lot of anger being directed towards CPS (understandable) however, what about the father's?? They all witnessed first hand what this woman was capable of and yet they left these children with her? They didn't give a shit about those poor kids, the torture they were being subjected to, they just wanted to go on with their lives with no hindrance or responsibility and that is just as abhorrent as what the CPS did. Why are they getting a pass? So typical that the men are dealing with no fallout from their actions, they are the adults and they let these vulnerable babies suffer 😠 If you have my child and he comes to any deliberate harm or you have been neglectful of him then you better find that passport cause I'm gonna hunt you down.

CPS failed these kids. They should have interviewed them separately from their mother (abuser) the should have at least done a check up at a later date. I also think anyone who homeschools their kids should be checked on regularly and child abuse of any kind including sexual assault should be taught in schools. Those poor kids 🥺.

Always enjoy your channel. Terry didn't shoot Suesan, Theresa, the mom did. She was such an evil woman. What on earth was going on in her head? She had so many crazy delusions! I couldn't even begin to imaging what the children went through, the fear they had, the mental damage that had been done. Sadly, Terry passed away at age 41 (I think) of a heart attack. My goodness, the pain and fear she must have still carried. I watched her interview and her eyes were filled with such sadness. My heart hurts for them. And even the son that was in prison for murder...I just think of the emotional and mental damage that was done to him and behaviors he must have learned. I pray they ordered him to receive psychological help while he is locked up. Rest on ladies. Thank you Terry for your bravery, to help give your sister's justice and acknowledge them by name.
