I actually discovered the Sin City Murders a couple days ago and watched this episode. I can confirm they left out A LOT of Debbie's behaviour towards Jason. In fact, HE was portrayed as a crazed, two timing, violent abuser, while her friends stated her death was unprovoked. As a criminal prosecutor I am always quite disappointed in the one sided perspective regarding domestic violence, mostly in favour of women. Indeed, men who are victims are often dismissed and ridiculed and certainly not given the legal and personal support that is required. While it is unfortunate that Debbie passed, it was evident she suffered from some sort of mental illness and required help. There are no winners here...as is the case with most toxic relationships. RIP Debbie

You can report someone missing at any point in time, after any period of time. And that’s in all 50 states in the US. I recently had to report an altercation where a young woman had run up to a closed business, and was banging on the door. At first, I thought she was running from an attacker, as she was hysterical. It turned out she was banging on the door to get to her ex, who was in there closing out the business day. He finally opened up, probably to prevent her breaking the glass, and she was fighting him to get in. I had called 911, and he was handling her just enough to keep her out, and was trying to calm her down. I went go into more detail, and the woman eventually left, screeching out of the parking lot with a passenger friend, who was crying, too. It was all pretty crazy. Who knows what preceded all that in their relationship, but that incident was definitely all her. I’ve wondered a few times if one of them will end up dead.
