My husband and I use to do overnight delivery trips for the company he worked for (he's a CDL driver) and we'd have to stay at specific hotels with this weird card. One of the places we stayed was really old looking and the entire room was wood paneled. We discovered that a couple sections the paneling were over hollow areas roughly the size of a doorway, one of which was in the closet, and the one outside of the closet was on a wall with a discrepancy. As in that area was set in further than the outer wall (I hope I'm explaining it correctly) and there was a clear break in a couple of the panels that looked like they could be hinge points. When we pushed on the panel there was some give... It was absolutely a 'hidden' compartment or doorway of some sort. We did our best to convince ourselves that it was an access point to a water heater or something similar but all I could think of was the episode of criminal minds with Will Wheaton... We pushed a wardrobe in front of the wall panel and shoved a chair in front of the closet door but I didn't sleep much. My husband (luckily seeing as he is a truck driver and it would have been dangerous driving back the next day otherwise) always falls asleep fast and hard as soon as his head hits the pillow, no matter what's going on, so he still slept well but usually he's also very hard to wake and that night, the one time I heard something and had a mini panic, he woke immediately when I said his name so that showed how freaked out he was too
@IrelandFyre2 жыл бұрын
As an example for how easily my husband falls asleep, one night we were goofing around and play fighting and, as he was moving to roll over, he accidently elbowed me in the eye so hard he snapped my glasses in half. He had (he's better about it now) this tendency to turn any negative emotions into rage so he was instantly pissed off and yelled at me for starting the playing around and I started crying, which pissed him off even more, so he lied down with his back to me and was snoring within seconds. Didn't even stir when I started sobbing because my feelings were hurt, my eye was aching, and my nose was throbbing and started to bleed. I had two black eyes the next day. When he woke up, he took one look at me and was in the verge of tears himself. He kept saying he hated that he was such a douchebag, he didn't understand why he gets so angry when he feels bad about something, and just kept repeating "I'm such a piece of shit, I'm so sorry, I don't know what's wrong with me. Honey I'm so sorry, I'm so so sorry I'm such a piece of shit." He still defaults to angry when he messes up or feels bad or guilty about something but he catches himself now and will tell me he's pissed at himself and feels awful instead of getting all ragey and yelling at me (I told way more of the story than I had originally planned on because I didn't want anyone to think I was in an abusive relationship. It definitely could've gone that direction but all the potentially emotionally abusive things he'd do, he acknowledged on his own and actively worked to correct and the only times he's hurt me physically were accidentally while we were play fighting/wrestling or in his sleep-since he sleeps so heavily and through just about anything lol)

@@IrelandFyre It seems like this is something you felt you needed to share and get advice on... My advice would be that he definitely continue working on his instant rage and absolutely utilize a therapist for more help. Sounds like he needs it. His rage when feeling guilty or bad about himself stems from something and he needs to figure out what it is. Hitting you is NEVER acceptable, even if it is an accident. You need to set boundaries and if it happens again you should remove yourself from the situation immediately and perhaps take a break from the relationship until he agrees to therapy. I'm glad he is at least recognizing that this is something he shouldn't be doing, but if there is not an immediate change in behavior then he needs outside help. Good luck!

H. H. Holmes was a real person, and real serial killer. The hotel was real also, but was burned down, what was left after the fire was torn down. Suspected to have killed more then 200 people, but he only confessed to about 27. Most of those 27 were killed within the twisted hotel. It's interesting that the devs chose Holmes and his hotel as a storyline for the game!
@theceo87386 ай бұрын
Not entirely true. 200 was made up for a fiction story that I can't remember the name of. He was a conman who confessed to killing 27 people (which is funny because some of those people were verifiably alive). He was executed because of only 1 murder charge, but historians can verify 9 murders of his. His business was not a hotel, rather a store and long term apartments, though he did have a "hotel" that was never built to swindle investors. I think he was way more interesting as a conman than a murderer in real life, but I do enjoy the fiction, though I wish it was only a character "based" on H.H. Holmes because it spreads misinformation. Sorry for being an utter nerd lol hope this was an interesting paragraph.

It would be cool and a good social commentary if the “twist” is that this is just an elaborate way to scare them into realizing how messed up true crime is, and how scared the victims must have been. Most of his killings were motivated by greed. He sold the skeletons to medical colleges. He killed his friend and his three children trying an insurance scam - which is also what got him caught. Even his murder castle was designed that way to make killing more people more quickly to turn a buck easier. And he wanted to be buried under concrete bc he was afraid someone would steal and sell his body like a coward. He was a real piece of work but apparently super charismatic since he married and killed and got engaged to one woman after another. I stayed in one of the last houses he stayed and killed in this past October. People of that town were the ones that helped authorities stay on his trail and catch him.

Show biz can be strict. There's actors saying they didn't report abuse like s*xual or p3do because of signing confidentiality, and were afraid of getting sued. Which I think is ridiculous. It's because they don't want their creative ideas leaked. Watch Slo4n on yt. Disney Channel forces their kid and teen actors to dress a certain way even off work. You can watch videos of talent show contracts. They're ridiculously strict. Like American Idol or America's Got Talent, etc. Such as the company owning all the songs the contestants write or owning their social media and forbidding them to post or post some things. Some Korean singers are forced to live under strictness too.

Just people like murderers. 11:05 I didn't like Marie threatening to hit Jeff. 17:04 Morphe:"He went to run and leave her?" Maybe Jeff needs to escape and save himself first before saving Marie. Marie was too playful. Shouldn't she have been concern the bathroom door couldn't lock? Why would she blindly assume it's Jeff? I didn't like her being nude and Holmes seeing seeing her. They wanted to make Jeff and Marie seeing each other for the last time touching but the nudity was distracting. 25:47 Holmes:"I was born with the devil in me." I guess if you're raised by bad parents since infancy. Or it's exaggeration or excuse. 35:52 Charlie:"Downtime? Why would you want to do that?" Who doesn't want that? Or at least it's obvious Charlie should understand why. 36:36 Morph:"You really doing anything for the shot huh?" Yes. It's passion. 58:00 Jamie:"If I wanted to go on nature hikes I wouldn't have moved to the city." Well, when making documentaries you may have to climb places. 1:02:47 I thought that was a hazard suit, not a raincoat. 1:17:00 The Jamie and Erin conversation dragged on too much. 2:57:39 The weird pauses sounds like the recording of Charlie saying he wants his team dead is edited. I doubt Charlie would say something like that. I didn't care for the romances. If many people disappear at Holmes' hotel wouldn't that make him suspicious. If Holmes wanted cadavers why didn't he aim at grave digging? Why couldn't Holmes make money other ways? The buyers don't question how a hotel manager get corpses? And the corpses look murdered. Holmes built a hotel just to murder. Obsessive. If only people would be that passionate about their dreams and good. People do crime cause they think it's a shortcut but building a hotel for it sounds like hard work.

My favorite characters are Jamie and Erin mostly Erin . I love some asthma representation in media.
