Shitty Childhood Survivors Club hug! 💕 I will say though it seems it's quite common for icky people to create fake histories of parental abuse as an excuse for why their horrific crimes aren't *really* their fault,or perhaps in a bid for sympathy :/ It's something I've come across in numerous cases,where the murderer makes really wild claims of childhood abuse,but all accounts show it to be untrue. Which is just heartbreaking when I think of the parents tbh. I've seen some cases where the parents were genuinely decent people who loved their kid & tried their best. I can't imagine how painful it would be for them to realize not only is their child a monster,but that they are painting them as monsters as well.
