Worst ever episode of TD and it's taken a ridiculous direction. All the male characters are portrayed as idiots. Female leads are contrived, cartoonish characters with superior physical strength to men. It's not too hard to see what the agenda is with this show now.

Now why would you assume the sister has a drug problem?? Pretty sure they are referring to her mental health. Also, I'm putting my bets on the theory that something in the water is causing the hallucinations, and perhaps the mania seen in the reindeer (not elk), and the researchers. Sidebar, so thrilled that Fiona Shaw is in this series!!
@TheorySmack7 ай бұрын
Yeah that was my bad. I assumed drugs because it seemed like she was tripping and maybe her mom also had a drug problem, but you’re right, it’s not that

Ooooh, I'm also fascinated if they flesh out more of the reference to Sedna, who is a Inuit mythical creature. The myth says that she was a young Inuit girl who refused to marry the man her father wanted her to, so he took her out in a kayak to throw her into the sea, and when he threw her overboard, she tried to get back in the boat, so her father cut off all of her fingers. She then drowned, but was reborn, receiving a seal tail (in some stories) and her fingers became walrus, seals, and other sea creatures. She is depicted in the drawing the little boy does after spending time with his Inuit grandmother.

The story picks up three days after the last sunset and following the event that startled the caribou. When Navarro is visiting the brother (miner) of the girl who was murdered, she is offered a beer but asks for water instead. The brother mentions the water has been bad for three days - perhaps linking the change in water quality to the event that spooked the caribou.

I think the weapon that killed the girl from the past case was a hand rock drilling bit, some of them have star shapes. For Jodie fosters character, I suspect her extreme reaction to the drunk driver tied back to her past. I don't necessarily think it was her who was drunk (why would his daughter ever stay with the person who was responsible for destroying the family), but I suspect she either released a drunk driver or let someone off with a warning only to have it end with that person killing her adopted daughter's father and possibly her son. I suspect she hates the Beatles because one of their songs was playing at the accident on a car radio or something. That's my read of things so far.
