The actors were great but the very realistic approach taken in season one was why it was the best season. Season three good not great the director of season one had his issues with the writer of the books. Both were at each others throats. Evident in the second season when they kept the writer not the director. I remember one scene where this director was being a total douche. It was an obvious jab at the director from season one. The director of season one is phenomenal Cary Joji Fukunaga. The lacking of season three was the original director of season one. It’s obvious through Cary’s other work like “sin nombre”. Still one of the most realistic films of gang life in South America I’ve yet to see. Highly recommend it.

Damn. I wish theyd stick to the plot. 1 and 2 were similar, both involving satanic abuse cults and blackmail rings, then 3s conclusion I think was boring. Now it looks like a horror movie about forest demons.

This will be my first season of True Detective. I saw the trailer for this a week ago and I couldn't wait for it to premier. Jodie Foster looks like she's going to be pretty badass in this. It's funny because I could see Clarice Starling getting assigned to a place like Alaska to solve cold cases. I think Jodie Foster will be perfect for this.
