Penix made a bunch of pro throws this year out here at UW. I live out here. Penix can spin it. Was good in situations here as well. JJM is a QB from a top program, big arm with accuracy, very good athlete, smart. I think he can go a long way in the right situation.

How come no one thinks Rattler could be draftable to the Pats? I’m not saying he’s round 1 worthy. Some of the descriptions Mayo said about QB’s could apply to Rattler.

I think the intangibles are key to who they draft, talking to their coaches and teammates and then watching the film against the top opponents, not the highlights from cupcakes. The kid from Michigan is checking off those boxes. He has great footwork as well, but we’ll see. It’s going to be fun to watch how this develops as the draft gets closer and closer. Glad you guys are doing this, thanks.

I think as a long-time patriot fan that we need to trade down with the vikings and give them Drake. There is no way we can turn down 23, 11, a 2025 1st and a 3rd. Fills a lot of needs. 👿 😈 👿 😈

@@BrEmail a report came out today that the commanders have been talking about taking mccarthy #2 more than any other prospect. But perhaps if Maye shows out in his pro day that turns the point. Who knows were all grasping at straws at this point

If Maye is there you grab him. You don’t trade the 3rd pick for a bunch of picks that could turn out to be trash, especially given the Patriots scouts and organization not being the best. Even through the Brady years, it was more getting Vets in because people wanted to play here, now they HAVE to build through draft because no one wants to come to a rookie HC, GM, no QB, O-Line is a mess(with still 4 legit LT’s available. But we will see and hope.

Tbf the scouting was hindered by BB not fully listening to his scouts and drafting guys he wanted. New scouting system, unfair to bring up the scouts before anyone gets drafted. You won't know for 2-5 years if the scouts are good @@ThatsTheWay_ItIs

Trade back. Build the roster. Give zappe the reigns. Hate this media obsession with QBs...all it does is inflate their value. Trade back get a starting tackle and a starting wide receiver and continue to build the rest of the draft whether that's future picks or roster depth

I feel the same about zappe, not the future... but devils advocate. What's the main thing we criticized the roster over? No offensive talent. Mac and zappe got thrown to the wolves. Who knows what players they can be. Obviously they're not franchise qbs but I'm sure they could've won more if they had the players around them 🤷‍♂️ best way to get players is to trade back OR trade future picks for more picks this year

@@ADub187 yes sir! Drafting 1 of these college kids and putting them on this awful team will be a step backwards. Also, Zappe is a culture guy. He is a locker room favorite. He is already throwing with the WRs off site. People that are anti-zappe are looking at the last 2 seasons' results and not the bigger picture

This is bush!!! They want scoring. They want teams starting at the 50. If this was about safety they would eliminate the kickoff. I get it. It's the same for both teams but this is about $ and fan interest. It takes away from the authenticity of the game. It was great before. $ and protection of the talent has taken over . If you were going to trade down, then Justin Fields would have been a no brainer, right? Even if odds are that JF isn’t the answer, still better to have hiim plus Brisset to get through a rebuilding year. Plus, he’s a higher ceiling than the #3 or #4 QB in the draft IMHO.

So long as the Pats DON'T take Maye, I'm fine on what they do with #3. Taking Maye would be unforgivable though. He's not a "franchise quarterback." He's a lifetime back-up and spot starter. He's somewhere between Blake Bortles and Sam Darnold. Meaning, he'll be a pro QB for the next 10 years or so. But not a Joe Burrow. I'd rather they get the extra picks by trading down to sheer up the rest of the roster. Get a young developmental QB later, either later in this draft or next year, or even the year after that. Multi-year rebuild.

Always amazes me when a fan believes he KNOWS more than any scout or pro talent evaluator. If you don't like aspects of a player's game, stick to that. But don't proclaim that you know. Let's just hope the new management knows what the hell they're doing. Go Pats.
