this is a common practice in sub continent... people wear green brooches of Nalain on their chests and heads, hang pictures of Nalain in homes, then kiss it or touch with their eyes etc.

Some Sufis are doing absurd and baseless rituals and say it's to make themself closer to Allah and the Prophet. Sadly some ignorant Muslims when they saw this kinda of practice thought 'Why not?' and started following it.

Because that’s what Islam says. And it’s debated amongst scholars wether it’s all types of music or just music that contains haram. But in the end the majority view to my knowledge is all music is haram. What’s the problem with that? Also let’s say he is wrong about music part. So what? How is that a logic or valid reason to reject all of what he says. He’s a human being he is prone to error.
