The legend of Razewing ratha A random child from an island stole his egg from another rathalos. They then made their way to wyvern land and started to bond with the baby disabled rathalos after blowing up a windmill. Ratha was then dragonnapped by another riders best friend before being dragonnapped again by other riders who wanted to steal your cats donuts. Ratha was then put on a flying boat and the child pulled out their action movie hero powers and boarded the boat, only to be fired upon by a big meanie. The disabled rathalos then desided that it wanted to fly and chucked itself of the boat after growing wings from pure “friendship juice” and caught the child mid air. And then they were murdered by a random sleeping sand rhinoceros with wings, the end

sonic bombs are not that needed, you can simply use a hunting horn with the blast ability to make the monster come up

This is simultaneously one of the coolest and most disappointing moments in the game for me. The whole event on top of the tower and the airship is pretty neat and Ratha opening his wings is a cool moment. But at the same its a shame that our awesome Ratha with its black wings (d)evolves into a regular Rathalos. He even loses his awesome Nuclear Fireblast Kinship attack.

Actually there are differences between Raths and a normal Rathalos. Ratha is more vibrant, his eyes are different, his wing patterns are also different.

Well, he still does a massive nuclear explosion with his Sky High Dive, which is actually larger than the Sky High Dives that normal Rathalos use But yeah, as pretty as the pattern on it's wings are, I will once again say it. Keeping the black wings would've been really cool, a good way to distinguish from regular rathalos, and a great way to appeal to my taste for "using darkness for good things" and "mixing light and dark"

I used a velocidrome in my party for the entire story, until I replaced it with a bloodbath diablos 70 hour into the game. The party I used to beat the end boss was Ratha, a Royal Ludroth, a Barroth, a Pukei-Pukei, A Kula-Yaku, and a Velocidrome.

Yeah my team was Tobi-Kadachi, Kulu Ya-ku, Arzuros, Zamtrios, Basarios and Ratha when I beat the story. I used one of the first Kulu Ya-kus I found through the whole game and for 50 to 60% present of the story I used velocidrome until I got a good Tobi

When you use Heavy Spear: Terrible. Never hits. Easily your worst attack in terms of kinship to damage/hit rate. When an enemy Tigrex uses Heavy Spear: A death sentence. Always hits, always a one hit kill.

White Monoblos has a very similar problem, Deadly Horn only seems to trigger when the target is immune to the oneshot effect. I've seen it trigger only to be Ineffective more times than I've seen it work

Monoblos ( +white monoblos) is my 3rd favorite monster now because I got a monoblos at the royal monoblos early in the game and he became to me what I feel they try to force ratha to be. His name is Tereboran and at level 35 he unlocked his white omega form and I used only him to fight the thing at the end of the elders den.

White Monoblos is actually a really free fight if you give any monstie a speed and tech skill and buy some sonic bombs from Lulucion's item shop, Whiteblos can only use one move per turn and it's either power or speed, so by commanding your monstie to always use the correct type, you can double attack infinitely and Whiteblos can't do any damage to you at all, his ground dive would be a problem if sonic bombs didn't exists, but with sonic bombs you completely cancel his dives so he can only attack you with regular attacks.

I would have grabbed the Royal White Monoblos, but I opted for the Royal Brute for my team. Most Royal monsters are very manageable fights, I found the first Monoblos kinda trivial lol. And I had Alwin there. But pretty much all I did was absolute evade the ground dives, and double attack the moves with the corresponding monstie(for most royals, that was Narga, most royals are power oriented except normal Tigrex). Otherwise just follow the pattern with the correct monstie to double attack. I had Monoblos from the get go, and he was a staple on my team till Brute. Wanted that Royal Gammoth but couldn’t beat it with an ally(Avenia doesn’t understand strategy and just dances as a target for snow stomp). Came back and finished it as rider and monstie alone, but then Gammoths stats are absolutely assssssssymptotic. No literally, they shoot through the air a late game. But I just don’t understand why they made the scaling so odd, for Gammoth, for the elements. That scaling problem is why you won’t get elementally different monsties. Like they kinda made it impossible to use that exclusive feature. You theoretically could do it very early with a monster, but you can’t bingo the skills in majority of the time due to level lock(by the time you unlock them the scaling has gone thru the roof).

Spoilery stuff in this comment if folks haven't played through or gone further than this video: You know what bummed me out with Stories 2? I knew Zellard would be the bad guy once I saw him, but I didn't want him to be. Sometimes he seemed noble and caring for the villagers and in supporting our character. I wanted it to be genuine and for them to not go for the easy route of him being evil and simply wanting us to not die so he could use Ratha for his end goal. Which, also, is a really dumb end goal. Oltura is born and then will destroy the world and make it anew? How is it made anew? If he's really the ultimate lifeform that would destroy everything, no new life would even be able to evolve to live in this propose "Eden" Zellard seeks. Furthermore, his evil villain monologuing states that humans live such fragile short lives, and are inferior to wyverians? Okay, but...Oltura would kill everything? Not just the humans, but the wyverians, and the felynes too. And if he thinks wyverians are so great, why does the entire world need rewriting to begin with? If it were to make everything as great as the wyverians that doesn't work because he'd be killing them too I swear seriously. He didn't even wanna control Oltura just let himself be fed to it and be like "Have at it" I don't get how he got a whole cult. Which ALSO, some of those, if not all of those folks were humans undoubtedly. Were they thinking of a new better world, or everything being destroyed? Did Zellard lie to them in some way? We don't know because nothing is expanded on. This is one of my favourite games and I love most everything about it, even Navirou (who I know some folks absolutely despise and fair enough), but Zellard's being a villain, altering history, and his motivations are so damn dumb, especially if Ena could make a 20 second (at most) speech and suddenly he's all "What have I done?".

Covers itself with wings then divebombs and causes giant explosion with its talons Razewing kinship goes: Roar, stand still for a few moments as the eyes and wings glow, then he shoots up into the sky glowing with a trail following him. Then he divebombs talon first as he gets enveloped in more and more energy plus another closeup shot of the rider as they descend, before causing a massive explosion with his talons.
