Great Review! You did a great job of explaining all those “hidden” details like learning curve, how many hours it takes to get the feel of the game, DLC, etc. Great explanation of gameplay/mechanics/style too. Game on sale (right now) for 5 more days..... thinking about getting it, but the amount of time you (said) one has to put into it scares me. I just didn’t not have that kind of free time.

Tom D thanks for the comment, its a great game but it is indeed a massive time commitment. Im up to 500 hours now and still have only cleared 3 of the 4 original campaigns.

Currently on sale on the Xbox Window Store for £8.24 (the game is on sale often) For that price I think I’ll finally pull the trigger on this. After something a bit different and something I could get lost in. Good review. And it’s the Complete Edition with all the DLC.

You recommend this review to me on Twitter, I was asking if it's any good. Whole game plus DLC is only a tenner but I would prefer Space Hulk Tactics, I think. I really fancy it but I just can't see me being able to fit it in amongst all the upcoming releases plus my current games and backlog. Decisions, decisions but damn it sounds good!

Nice video thanks for uploading! Can't believe i have missed this game a year ago, even though tbs has always been one of my favorite genre since C64/Amiga times_and there aren't too many of proper ones on consoles now days. Just noted this as late as yesterday when there was discounts add on Xbox dashboard. Well, the good news is that now the price is a steal this week on Xbox. (10 USD/EUR, 7.50 £) Online must be dead on Xbox right, so this is probably single player only? And maybe online with friend_if have one who is willing to learn this?

GimbleFIN thanks for the comment. Unfortunately the online was almost dead from the start, but yes this is an absolute steal when it was on sale. Its a shame console gamers on the most part aren’t willing to put the time into these games to learn them as if you can get past the high learning curve its fantastic.

Ok let's see if this awesome discount will bring some new people on board. But I'm afraid all online gaming has to be agreed with a friend. It's still totally fine if just the versus gameplay setup is balanced and fair, unlike the X-Com i hear is kind of so so? There haven't been a good online versus enabled TBS in years on consoles. Board-game "Dungeon Twister" (PS3, ~5 years ago) is the last one i consider really good on this area, i have few uploads of that. Really hope someone will create it once again on new consoles or even PC, while waiting that we are still playing it once in a while with my buddy on PS3. The problem with that game is that it totally lacks single player so you always need a friend. AI doesn't behave nowhere near like human so single is kind of meh, can be considered as tutorial. I need to dive into this game, let's see if it can fill the big boots of Dungeon Twister regarding online versus, and i could finally get rid of PS3? :)
