Coaches are important dude. They boost up morale and gives you insightful objectives after every game especially the lost ones. They keep the players in check and does the strategies when they can barely compose themselves. It's an e-sport. I think EG (not sure) hired a psychologist just to keep them motivated.

It's a psychological protection against failure that makes you feel ok if you loose because it was unwinable, and that much greater when you win because you call it a miracle. well fly and notail have lost so much in their careers, like they were so accustomed to losing in Fnatic, Holy shit, they ended up being oblivious to pressure almost. You have to learn how to lose first, before you win, as they say. But i find it interesting how many captains/players careers took of after being under Puppey's apprenticeship. (They also are lucky to have insane young talent on team which has a lot to do with their success.) Fly notial - Good guys but incomparable skillwise or results wise to a ppd/fear duo or on a popularity contest to a legendary puppey/dendi duo which had a big hand in hyping up dota in growing up to be what it is today.
