So if you read and watch interviews with others in the life, like Michael Francese it's very believable that Henry Hill never physically whacked someone himself. He's usually described as the crew lackey or gopher. He wasn't a gangster in the traditional sense. They were all physically intimidating. Many of Paul varios generation were ex-boxers. Henry wasn't intimidating. His connections were and he learned to make money off of it. He was good friends with Paul Vario's son and by extension a pseudo family member for Paul Vario. He got his respect because of his youthful connection to Vario. Not his street rep and toughness. Now is it possible, even probable Henry had an issue with someone who wound up dead when Henry brought the issue to Vario? Yes.
