Years ago as a student nurse I often looked after ladies with ectopic pregnancy and it was especially heartbreaking for them because not only did they almost reach three months and suffer outrageous levels of pain, but they then lost an ovary and fallopian tube, knowing that pregnancy would be more difficult in future. I saw a lot of miscarriages but the ectopic pregnancies were even more distressing for the patient. I saw so many tears and broken hearts in that job.

I thought it was very crass of Tom Cruise to jump up and down with excitement on Oprah’s couch because he’d found ‘real love’ with Katie Holmes, or however he phrased it. It was disrespectful to his previous wives and as it turns out - not even real since that marriage didn’t last either. Anyway, he’s married to himself and Scientology so there’s no room for a woman in his life except maybe his mother. Nicole is lovely, such a gracious woman.
