I downloaded each fan subbed episode with dial up internet back in 2007 as it was airing each week. It took me 5 days to get one 300 megabyte episode. I cherished each minute and rewatched it 3 or 4 times before I could get the next one. Such an amazing show, I still am heartbroken for Noe but I still have my old Zune with the OST on it!

This anime was one of the most dramatic romance series that I have ever watched. I was so sad when Shinichiro didn't end up together with Noe. Surprisingly though, I did not cry during the series, although I should have. My only complaint is that the series ended pretty abruptly. But it was also, for some reason, an ending that felt satisfying. Overall, I love this anime. Wish there was a dub though.

I did watch Toradora in fact. However I still believe that true tears was way more dramatic. No shame on Toradora obviously. Toradora will, in fact, be probably the best romance series i have ever watched. Not dramatic, or placed as a rom/com. I mean romance as a genre. It is the best romance series I have ever watched.

Tari Tari is a better show than True Tears, but True Tears is excellent in its own right. PA Works is probably my favorite studio, and it's worth checking out True Tears to see where it started.

(This comment contains spoilers to the Anime) Theres such an absurd amount of hate for Hiromi which was the obvious main girl from the very start. Her character is one of the more realistic characters in the show, she displayed several character flaws and it honestly made her seem more human and relatable. Its up to you on how you think about it really but in reality, women get jealous, they do shitty things and guys arw guilty of it too. Noe was a really, estranged character... however for sure likable but she wasn't the choice for Shin since the very beginning. I'm actually very happy that in the end he picked Hiromi even though it was sad with that one beach scene, RIP TEARS
