What a talented pair you are. To think up all the ideas and then put them into practice is amazing. Great that you are able to learn by your mistakes as well and Jon is mastering all the new "little kit for the workshop". Saturday mornings for me is to take my son in law to work, get back, get a cuppa and watch the latest installment! I too wish the videos were longer as they seem over in a flash. Can't wait to see the roof go on hopefully next week. You will need it with this deluge of Norfolk rain we're having at the moment. I think Jon was right about the 2 weeks of summer having gone 😂.

Ooh Big Red is already looking splendid. Really enjoying seeing her transformation. 💯🔥👏 Y’all have a gift. Well, multiple gifts actually. As others have said you manage to hit the perfect mix of entertainment, information and education. Explaining things in a way that others - particularly those who have no background in the subjects covered - can easily understand is no small achievement. Your positivity, willingness to learn and transferable skills are a delight. I’m hurtling towards my 60’s and too ill to make things or even travel anymore, but I genuinely look forward to each weekly episode. So I’m sure that anyone with an interest in camper van conversions will find your channel really inspiring and very helpful. We’ve had a severe weather warning up here in the North. Hope it misses you guys. Looks like you’re right, summer in the UK may be over…

Is it worth considering future proofing some of the design elements? 18:10 riveting Ali sheet onto steel inner frame. Maybe worth putting a thin neoprene strip between the two (1) to prevent NVH (2) help restrict galvanic corrosion. Few areas in the build where Ali is coming in contact with steel and neither surface is coated and there isn’t a barrier. As ever, fab viewing and one of current fav channels. 💪🏻🤙🏻

Excellent build and the two of you are awesome! Please be aware that galvanic corrosion can occur when two metals (aluminum and steel) are in contact, and exposed to water (catalyst). Since aluminum is more active (anodic/sacrificial) it will oxidate rapidly compared to steel (cathodic/protected). Watch out for powdery residue on top of aluminum. Since this is an electrical, chemical reaction, two metals must be insulated from each other utilizing non-conductive materials (powder coating/paint/plastic), and or the use of appropriate fasteners (stainless steel/ cadmium plated). I am looking forward to the following episodes. Cheers.
