I'm in Ajax Ontario, have decent tools and a driveway (no garage) if you find yourselves needing to do some work while in this part of Ontario. The places you will need to know about for any tools are Canadian Tire (a very common store) and Princess Auto (not as common, but maybe cheaper). Both have comprehensive searchable web pages.

I used 5 tyre strings in one puncture on my Range Rover. I was waiting for a new set of tyres to be delivered and thought the repair would only need to last a couple of days but it was still good over two weeks later when the delayed in shipping General Grabbers finally showed up! Good luck with your trip. My wife & I have driven all over Canada in various RV’s. Hopefully you are going to Tuk, the northernmost point in North America that you can drive to and camp by the Arctic Ocean. We were there in July, the summer the road was completed. It was below freezing at night. There is soooo much to see and do. I hope you have a wonderful, problem free drive. Norway is such a short drive from the UK. Tuk is almost 9,000 km from Halifax. Don’t worry though, there are lots Tim Hortons coffee shops along the way and a Canadian Tire store for all your tool and other shopping needs in most towns.

Hey guys. You may know this already, once you enter Alaska your Visa time for the entirety of the US starts counting down. Even if you go back into Canada and then the lower US, your time will still be counting off from your original Alaskan entry. Unfortunately for it to reset you are required to leave north America for X days. I'm sure you know that already but just in case! We always use World Nomads for travel insurance. They are brilliant and when my wife came off her motorbike in Mexico they were quick to get her into a hospital and me into a hotel and sorted everything.

about the two spare tires : it kindah makes sense as when you move in a straight line and drive over sumting sharp that embedded in the ground (sharp rock) youre likely to drive over it with the front and rear tire not sure if you got the message about the lithium battery last time , but these batteries loose a lot of power when they get cold and actually stop charging too (found that out recently i drive a tiny electric car that lost about 2/3th of its range due to the cold and its not even freezing yet , there stick on battery heaters available that use part of the batteries power to keep itself warm , yet it does drain the battery faster but not as fast as a cold battery would and it still recharges , there should be battery blankets available in canada same as engine block heaters about those horns : put them behind the stepup to the front doors one on each side , that way you can drive up next to the person you having to deal with and blow the horn right intoo his ear through the side window , works aspecially good on people that dont use their phone handsfree while drving
@truebluetravellersАй бұрын
You’re right it does make sense but we just don’t have the space unfortunately. Ours have built in protection for cold and we never let it get colder than 15 degrees in the living area so should be all good 🤞💙 had no trouble at all at all-32 last time we can see temp of the batteries on our monitoring app too and have a fan we can switch on to circulate the air more if they are getting cold too but didn’t need to use them last time 💙

@@truebluetravellers ..... just though of sumting : they drive on the right side(so not the left) of the road in the country where youre going to drive around , and you have an english truck adapted for driving on the left side so the light fan up to the left side to light up the berm on that side .... did you changed the headlight units so they shine towards the other side of the road ? if you need to tape up part of the headlight to prevent blinding the people driving towards you there whone be mush light left for you to see the road

Hi from Calgary, Canada. I hope your vehicle arrives in Canada in perfect condition. As winter is long here in Calgary, I’m rather confused that you’ve chosen to start your trip in the winter 🤪 I’m new to your channel, so no doubt I’ll learn your logic for the timing of your trip when I work my way back through your videos. Best wishes and good luck to you. I’m a Brit ex-pat. Veteran. I’ve lived in North America since 2008.

Thanks very much, yeah it’s definitely strange to come in winter but it also adds some crazy sort of beauty to it too 😂👍

I run a small business injecting tyres with a product called Air-Seal. It protects your tyres from punctures for the life of the tyre. Good luck over the pond x

I just had a thought about something you may wish to want to take with you to Canada in your suitcase. An extra set of number plates in case you lose them in a snowdrift or something, or even, if someone decides to keep them as a souvenir! I’m not sure what the protocol is in the UK anymore and whether you need to show your log book or whatnot. I should have thought about that before you put the van on the ship.

Good point mate, I know a place that will print them for us if it did happen 🤞👍,
