@ThatSockmonkey4 жыл бұрын
@@dr.lexwinter8604 the whole field of opioid medications needs a total rethink. We use them inappropriately, we don't plan for post opioid care and we don't have a consistent, quantifiable way to gauge pain levels or efficacy of pain treatment. We need a systemic strategy that includes addiction therapy and post injury support. Rant over. It's weird that she was prescribed methadone for a back injury though. It's not a great pain killer, the only real advantage is it's relatively long half life, so theoretically her opioid receptors would have remained "loaded" for 36 to 48 hours, but it wouldn't have given her much pain relief. Which I guess explains the booze, which does have some pain killing effects. Also, I don't believe she would have drowned herself in a toilet. No-one is gonna do that. You'd fill the bath or a sink, something that didn't SMELL like a toilet, somewhere where you haven't urinating and defecating regularly for years. And even then, drowning yourself in shallow water is almost impossible. If you're unconscious, sure, but I don't think it's possible to stick your head in a bucket and force yourself to stay submerged until you die. I just don't believe a person could bring themselves to do it unless they had something external holding them under.

The diamond-shaped bruises perfectly fitting her wedding ring make the whole case for me. If we were to believe in the ridiculous notion that she chose to kill herself via that toilet (accident is out of the question as the weight of her body would've pulled her head out of the water if she had passed out etc), there is no way a person intending to kill themselves would simultaneously be trying to shield themselves from the water with their hand. He absolutely killed her.
@ignae3 жыл бұрын
If that where the case the ring would leave scratches if she was resisting, not a perfect match, she was leaning her head against her hand. If she was drunk and drugged, she could have died there. No mention of life insurance, inheritance or custody for kids. No real motive. I don't think he killed her.
@billyc7683 жыл бұрын
She may not have intentionally killed herself, but an accidental drowning is very likely what happened. The mark from her ring was probably caused by grabbing the opposite rim of the toilet bowl, and then resting her head on the back of her hands. The average human head weighs around 10-11 lbs., so the weight of her body wouldn't necessarily pull her head out of the water. It also depends on how high off the ground was the toilet seat, and how long was her torso, and how close her knees were to the toilet. For a person who is weak enough to where they feel the need to rest their head while trying to vomit into the toilet bowl, that would require kneeling far enough away to be able to lean their weight forward over the bowl. You can't rest your head on the rim if you're positioned in a way where relaxing would pull your head away. So when she passed out, the weight of her head and positioning of her body would've caused her to fall forward into the toilet, not fall backward out of it. I don't think her husband cared that she died, but I don't think he killed her either. And obviously the jury that acquitted him agrees.

I was in the courtroom during the final days. I looked at Tracy exhumed body! That beautiful little lady! And Kenny would not look, pathetic!! Disgrace to our justice system. I watched Tracy grow up she was sweet & kind! Travesty; karma is a funny thing! I want to know why the jury deliberated so quickly! & why Tracy was on trial & not Kenny. I was there live! The trial should have been captured on film. I’m petitioning Lasalle County to allow cameras in all courthouses & at least for the court to provide cameras for documentation purposes. Lasalle County is to corrupt not provide “we the people” protection. It is our 1st amendment right!

What a disgusting, shameful miscarriage of justice….smh. What was the jury made up of (# of men vs women, ages, etc..) and how long did they deliberate? And what evidence/case did the defense present/make that was convincing enough to persuade 12 jurors to come to the unanimous decision that this man was not guilty of murder? Sorry for all the questions btw, I know it’s a lot so no hard feelings if I don’t get a response

Boomer, you’re so right about the pain. My cousin was murdered 40 yrs ago. By the time they found her, she was bones. 😢. She is still listed as a Cold Case in Richmond, Virginia. Not knowing the how, the why’s or anything has been very hard. We still call Detective Thompson several times a year so that he realizes Cathy was loved & important to our family. 😢. She was just a teenager. Just starting to find herself in life. 😔

Here's the update: UPDATE December 13, 2019: A LaSalle County jury deliberated and acquitted Kenneth Cusick, 52, of murder after prosecutors alleged he drowned his wife Tracy in 2006, the Ottawa Times reports. Prosecutors had produced a series of witnesses who either testified Tracy could not have accidentally drowned in 2006 and that an overdose (her blood came back positive for methadone) was not the cause of death.

Methadone isn’t a strong pain medicine, it is never given for acute pain It’s useful for helping opioid addicts become addicted to methadone instead.

@chelseebarber8944 жыл бұрын
Okay I SERIOUSLY doubt she was “highly intoxicated”. Though you supposedly shouldn’t combine the two - for someone that regularly takes methadone and drinks, she would not be nearly as intoxicated as everyone assumes. BEEN THERE so no one can @ me. Meaning it was 10000% intentional, and not self-inflicted.

Methadone is not The "Get all F'ed Up" on Kind of drug Either...😶
@Free-Speech-Banned-By-Google4 жыл бұрын
Methadone is synthetic opioids and it doesn't get you high but would definitely work as a painkiller it blocks the opioid receptors in the brain and it takes away the feeling of withdrawal and dope sickness and even if you were to take real not synthetic opioids you wouldn't feel the effects of it cause of the receptors so it's been used for getting people off dope but I've heard of people using it for pain it's very effective and it has no buzz or high allowing people to be functional and work and whatever and you definitely wouldn't drown in your toilet from it even with alcohol because it's synthetic if it wasn't synthetic then drinking would mess you up
@ameliareaganwright27584 жыл бұрын
I think it would be impossible for a person to drown himself/herself in a toilet bowl. Natural reactions would prohibit that from happening.

She could have an abusive man AND also be killed by another party. Is it possible she owed her drug dealer money? The coroner should be fired for a lazy autopsy and calling her death undetermined. In other cases when idiots say their spouses died by accidental drowning in a toilet, it has been ruled a homicide because it can not happen any other way. Even an unconscious person can not submerge their mouth and nose at the same time.
