I just realized in the intro she says Crimes and “con-sen-quenses”. Can’t even get the name of the show right. Good start 😂

Why is it so hard for negative commenters to simply scroll on by and not distract from the important narrative, allowing Betty's tragic murder to be a cautionary tale? Perhaps there are certain individuals that need to hear this!

It seems like the people that run this True Crime channel would want to know that a very high percentage of people don’t like listening to these 2. If it was their own channel, I would agree and say just unsubscribe. However most of the other content on this channel is great. It’s a huge disappointment when there is a new video and it turns out to be them.

The "mother" was just as responsible for Betty's death as Frank was... because she was supposed to protect the children! I don't give a crap what year it was! I would never have my children in that horrific situation, first of all, but once she was made aware of the SA (perpetrated by the sorry, worthless drunken SOB that SHE brought into their lives!) her poor daughter was forced to contend with, she OWED it to those kids to get them the hell out of that house! I can't even express the extreme level of contempt I feel for Margaret for leaving Betty alone with Frank the first time! When she came back, she should have swooped Betty up and IMMEDIATELY taken ALL of her kids back to wherever the hell she had just come back from - I mean, she obviously had somewhere to take them! Poor Helen probably felt horrible guilt for not stabbing Frank when she had the chance. Although, Margaret should have NEVER put those kids in such a nightmare situation in the first place!! I sincerely hope that horrendous "mother" felt agonizing guilt for the rest of her worthless life. It makes my heart ache to know that Betty took her last breath feeling utterly devalued. I was a victim of childhood SA myself, and nothing in this world has ever caused me to feel that alone and insignificant, before AND since that happened to me. I don't apologize at all for my strong words because there is NO excuse for placing children in a situation wherein children are abused in ANY way. NO EXCUSE WHATSOEVER. Margaret should have murdered Frank in his sleep. I know I would have!

First He says, 'you all need to leave.'(In an attempt to use reverse psychology) Then he immediately says, "If you leave, I will kill you." The body shuts down in that level of chaos and manipulation from the person you were forced to trust at a youthful age. Last year, more Americans committed suicide than ever before, and the number is expected to rise this year as well. It's a way of entertainment to treat someone that way. I have thought about this my whole life. And feel a gringy relation to this young women. Rip. If it wasn't murder. It would have been suicide..

I was asked to speak on childhood sex abuse to a drug rehabilitation center and I asked for a show of hands for anyone that had ever been SAed or raped. Nearly every person in the room raised their hands. There was so much pain!

@@JoanTarpley-hx9sh I think the girl didn't have work or hope because she wanted to be invisible and cause no reactions in others(wink wink). She likely spent much of her willpower in an attempt to be unseen. Feeling very shameful for being alive.(like a burden that owes something) How could she have the mindset of independence? (retoricle question)

I love these two and if you remember, these stories were asked from patrions so they’re relaying from people that follow the show if you don’t like it don’t listen. I hate negative comments because these two can really tell a story and they’re really good at it have you even given them a chance I love the fact that they go back-and-forth talking to one another cause you can tell the person telling the story hasn’t told the other person what the stories about so she’s hearing it from the first time. Also thank you girls I appreciate you.

What's with these stepfathers abusing or killing the stepchildren? It happens so often that they shouldn't be allowed to marry women with children, but then they'd be one of the abusing/murderous boyfriends. Sadly, many of the mothers either don't see it or they don't believe it when their child tells them what is going on. Some want a lover so badly, they allow the evil to continue or take part in it. Parents are supposed to protect the children, no matter how old they are. Very disturbing and absolutely horrendous! 😢😥😢

Whatever the situation or whomever it is committing the SA, there is absolutely NO excuse for a "mother" to keep any child in an abusive environment. Period.

First of all, the "F word" was not used AT ALL in this episode. The ONLY "curse word" utilized a few times was sh*t. I should think that your delicate ears could suck it up long enough to hear poor Betty Jean's tragic story, If you are so offended by mere WORDS, the only time you are going to be able to leave your home is to attend church/mosque/temple! The thing I find SAD is that in your world, projecting "righteousness" takes precedence over documenting poor Betty's horrific murder. You are certainly entitled to your opinion, but I have a lot of trouble imagining someone coming to you to share something horrific that they have been suffering through and in the midst of unburdening their soul, you would stop them and say, "Oooo, could you refrain from using that word? I can't take cursing." Yikes. But, you do you!
