I grew up and still am in Seattle. Ted was our boogie- man. It was awful being victim age and having to watch your back all the time! When you ask, could Ted have murdered these girls? I'll tell you one thing I know for certain. Wherever Ted was, girls ended up missing or found dead. Rip dear women❣ 🌱🌹

That must have been a terrifying time to live in that area. When I was young there was a serial rapist in the area that broke into homes when the female was alone or just with kids home. My mum told me that she used to jump at shadows and check the positions of the curtains to make sure they hadn’t altered, incase he was hiding behind them. She still looks full of fear 35 odd years later.

I was a teen back then. I remember that he used a fake cast on his arm and would lure the women to his Volkswagon to "help" him with something. He came across as such a nice guy that women would go with him to their death. That was a horrible time for the Puget Sound area.

My grandpa used to pick up hitchhikers in the 70s and 80s to "minister" to them. One guy pulled out a knife and demanded he stop the car. Gma told papaw if he wanted to pick up anymore hitchhikers he could drive around aimlessly by himself. Not with her in the car anymore.

I too have a connection to Ted Bundy. Actually I have a connection to one of his victims. I live in Utah and in 1974 my sister Denise was good friends with Debra Kent. In September of 1974 Ted Bundy made his way to Utah. He enrolled at the University of Utah joined the LDS church and started killing young women. After his failed attempt to kidnap Carol DaRonch on November 8th 1974 he drove to Bountiful Utah and found my sisters friend Debra Kent. She was at a High School Play with her parents and left at intermission to go pick up her little brother from the skating rink. She never returned. Ted later admitted dumping her body in Fairview Canyon. The only thing they have recovered so far is her knee cap. My family is headed to Fairview Canyon on July 9th for a 3 day family Reunion. We have a map and know where they found her knee cap. Maybe this will be the year we find her and bring her home. I was only 12 years old but I remember how kind and funny and smart she was.

So sad. I don't know a single person from that generation who lived in Utah at the time that doesn't have at least one connection to Ted Bundy. My mom had a locker next to one of his confirmed victims. My previous boss went to high school with another of his confirmed victims. My previous boss also happened to be in a single's ward where all of the girls were convinced Ted was innocent and were baking cookies for him in prison. I worked at the University of Utah for 15 years, and there are tons of stories about him from the people who were at the U at the time. My boss's boss knew the cop who arrested him quite well. That cop was amazing at his job, and it kind of proves it was a different day. Basically, that cop knew every car that came to that neighborhood regularly by heart. When he saw a license plate that he had never seen before, that was the first thing that aroused his interest. Since the person was actually in the car, that also aroused his interest. Basically, he decided to keep an eye on the car for a bit, and that led to him getting enough information to have probable cause, and once they searched the vehicle they found basically a kidnapping kit in the car. A lot of people may not know this, but Ted Bundy was also briefly hired as an after-hours escort at the University of Utah. He was one of those people that when (usually women) would call for a security escort because they didn't feel safe walking across campus by themselves, he would be sent out to escort them to their car, etc. My old boss said that one day the head of security came over to talk to him, and he was extremely nervous. The guy told him that he had just fired this guy named Ted Bundy after only two weeks working as a security escort. He said he had fired him because his gut was just telling him there was something "off" about the guy. He had considered firing him on Day One of the job, but he was worried Ted would sue for wrongful termination since the only reason he could give for firing him was because his gut said there was something off about him. So he let him work for a couple of weeks, but ultimately decided to fire him anyway. My boss said the head of security was beside himself with worry because he was sure Ted was going to sue for wrongful termination, but Ted never did sue. Ted's crimes were truly horrible and so sad. I think what amazes me most is how many other lives he impacted. Every single one of his victims were known and loved by so many. Even the people who simply worked with him or caught him or went to church with him were impacted by his crimes. Perhaps that is a commentary on Utah. I have once heard that Salt Lake City has the nickname of Small Lake City because so many people are so closely connected to each other. I wasn't alive at the time of his crimes, but I still find it amazing how many people at the time were impacted by one truly evil man. Of course, on the flip side, it also makes me wonder how many people can be impacted for the good by one good person. As I said before, clearly every one of Ted's victims have left a positive impact on the world in the short time they were on this earth. Hopefully, eventually every one of them can be found and their families can at least have closure.

Ted Bundy was an absolute monster, the things my great aunt got told about what happened to my cousin (Nancy Wilcox) was absolutely atrocious. I remember being a young kid and going camping with my grandfather and at the time I didn’t realize it but I believe we were looking for any piece of evidence or her body to bring peace to the family. We never found anything and my great aunt died never being able to lay her daughter to rest properly.

I know for a fact he was killing in the 60s! That SOB took me within an inch of my life in 1967. Obviously, I got away. I spoke with Ann Rule and she confirmed he was a killer in the 60s because I thought he only killed in the 70s and I couldn't wrap my head around that the Ted Bundy who tried to kill me was the same one that everyone said only killed in the 70s. Even though I'll never forget his face, or his strange name. I took me 50 years to talk about it. I just opened up to Phil Chalmers who hosts "Where The Bodies Are Buried". No idea when it's going to air but a couple of us survivors will tell our stories. Me for the very first time.

A scary family memory, which happened before I was born, was that my sister could’ve been one of Bundy’s victims. My family lived near the Burr family. The morning after Anne Marie went missing, my dad found a ladder someone had placed against the house, leading up to my sister’s window. My parents figured something had scared whoever it was off. The chances that it could have been Bundy planning to scale the ladder to my sister’s window on the same night Anne Marie went missing is chilling!

I have a couple Bundy stories which I have shared in other places. I am not feeeling well today so will leave a brief idea. Was Bundy doing things in Central Oregon in 1971? How about the last week of June, 1971? A woman was killed near Klamath Falls, Oregon around that time. I have tried to learn more about the case via the internet but can't find much. Looks like it is still unsolved. I too am uncomfortable even seeing pictures of Bundy, so I don't watch many videos about him. This channel is the first time I have seen women leave comments about their experiences. I think there are many more victims, some who survived and some who died.

I'll never forget whem my mom first met my ex. The first thing she said to me when we had a moment alone was that he had 'Ted Bundy eyes". The following year when I left him, I not only learned that he was diagnosed a psychopath years prior when he was in prison, but that he was also apparently wanted in several states. There truly is an identifiable mark on these people that I figured out - not only the empty, otherwise indescribable eyes (unless you've seen them yourself), but they also only mimic emotions. He was completely unable to laugh at himself and I always remembered he never ever blushed because he simply never was embarrassed - he simply didn't understand how to mimic that emotion. I barely got out of that situation with my life. I've been told several times that I should write a book. If you have one of these in your world, the only advise I can give is to get far away and go NC as soon as posible. You absolutely cannot fix them, they can't be fixed.

My stepsister's daughter had a daughter out of wedlock at 17. She has raised this child as her own, believing her actual mother is her sister. Now, the child is 11, and her "sister" is now married with 2 children. So, the 11 year old thinks she has a niece and nephew instead of a brother and sister. What's worse, her husband doesn't know she has 3 children instead of 2. I told my stepsister these kind of secrets always come out and never end well. The 11 year old will be driving in 5 years. Birth certificates will surface.

My sister is my bio mom. My sister (bio mom) was 15 when she got pregnant with me & bio father didn’t want to be involved so she planned to place me for adoption. My mom (bio grandmother) and dad (bio grandfather) adopted me so that I remained in the family. I will never call my bio mother my mom or will I call anyone else my dad. They are wonderful parents gave me a great childhood and still have there for me. My sister (biomom) & I have a special relationship she isn’t my mom. Anyways my point is this actually is a common occurrence and not everyone that has this family dynamic is a lunatic serial killer and I personally think the bio family adopting the child should be celebrated and praised not disparaged. Just thought you should hear a different perspective on that.

I am still researching the Ted Bundy, even after all these years! I watch everything I can get a hold of about bundy because I've often wondered, Is it possible that he was in nj in the early 70s. In 1971, 72, or 73? I was a teenager then, and I worked at a burger king in nj. I was a niave 16 year at work cleaning the tables in the front, and a male with Brown wavey hair, older than me, sat there eating , watching, and smiling at me. He was trying to converse with me, and then he asked me when i get off of work. I told him! Geez, how niave. When i got off of work he walked out with me. He told me i was a pretty girl and he was a photographer, and he told me he wanted to take photographs of me. I was in front of the window where i would still be seen by the employees and people inside BK. He tried to lure me to the side of building where his car was parked. I remember seeing his car. It was light in color and it was a Volkswagen! He was a dark haired guy that appeared to me to be in his 20s. I got a feeling in my gut, not to move away from the front of the building, so I told him someone was coming to pick me up. My boyfriend pulled into the parking lot right after that, and so I jumped in my boyfriends car and said, lets go! I have often wondered, did i meet Ted Bundy that day? Was i saved from something horrific happening to me?!!!

I've always liked Bundy for the Ann Marie Burr killing. Everyone makes a big deal out of the fact that pretty co-eds were his preferred victim type, but we shouldn't forget that Bundy's last victim, Kimberly Leach, was only twelve so killing an 8-year-old doesn't seem so far fetched. As for the flight attendants, I think he did that one as well. The fact that he bludgeoned sleeping women in their beds (with one surviving) is too much like the Chi Omega killings. And in both cases, he happened to be in the area. I don't think you can call these coincidences. As for the survivor giving a description of her attacker that doesn't match Bundy, you have to remember that he was good at changing his appearance. The attack occurred in summertime and a lot of young people (myself included) blonde in summer (meaning the sun lightens their hair). Or he could have easily used a commercially available hair lightener like Sun-In. About the New Jersey double murder, I'm not convinced it was him. Granted, he has an emotional tie to the area and could have been there. But I just don't know. Thanks for the recap! Now I have some new books to buy.

I feel like it makes sense he killed in the 60's. The dated between the victims in the mid-70's felt more like a spree than a meticulous serial murder, the gaps between each murder felt closer and closer as time passed by, it felt like he was already escalating, like he may have been sating these urges for a very long time. And that is a terrifying thing to think about.

A lot of people have reported on Ted Bundy. They have done movies, documentaries interviews etc.. I never get tired or bored hearing about his crimes because there always seems like I learned something new about him or the people telling the story always give it a nice twist and something of their own in the telling of Ted. I do believe there are more bodies out there but you can only kill a man once😜 Great job Amy & Chris thank you. I would give you a thousand likes if I could👍 youtube is cheap with them.

I have read and listened to everything available on Ted. I feel he is responsible for the Ocean City, NJ girls murdered. Listen to the tapes of Ted being interviewed, he is repulsive and fascinating at the same time. Him talking about how he killed Georgann Hawkins is chilling.

It’s not a fact that he was a product of incest Siri. It’s a rumor, but we know that his mother passed away as a sister for many years, and he found out far as the incest shouldn’t be implied.

Regarding Ann Marie, the Burrs’ front door was wide open and the window was open (they had left the window closed but unlocked) where the bench was found. Wasn’t there someone in Burlington that he is suspected of killing when he went there to try and investigate his birth at the home for pregnant teens? I heard that somewhere.

@@sarahisstellina I agree entirely. I understand the need for sponsorships, but not excessive sponsorships. There's a big difference. It detracts from the story and becomes plain greedy. However, that's just a personal opinion. They don't need to listen to my feedback and they are free to ignore constructive criticism.

I really love this channel. You guys make such great videos and I love how much detail you give without me having to sit through over an hour of video to get the same amount of information on other channels. But I found this video to be so confusing when I tried to just listen to it rather than watch it at the same time. Without the photos with all of the back and forth it's really confusing. I had to pause it so that I could rewind it and start over with the video. Like I said I love your channel so I hope this isn't come off as too negative, just wanted to let you know.

A couple of years ago, I had a black female coworker (who supposedly was a terapist), who claimed serial killers were bad as adults, but couldn't fathom the idea that these monsters were kids at some point and very well could have been monsters as children. Yeah. Ponder upon that. 🤔

I read Ann Rule’s “The Stranger Beside Me” years ago, and it is fascinating from her point of view as well as terrifying. New info released about TB relating to earlier cases would not surprise me. He had a similar idea of wanting to keep the victims bodies a “secret” for himself much like Gary Ridgeway. Unless the body is found or he was seen by witnesses in the area he screams “innocent”…yea right!

Came here to say the exact same thing. To the other commenter's point, ONE sponsor break per video is completely reasonable. Multiple 30+ second sponsor breaks scattered throughout is excessive and completely ruins the flow of the content. It's like newbie channels that opt to cram the maximum amount of commercials in per video - it becomes impossible to follow and therefore unwatchable.

Great work Amy! Interesting how the pictures of Bundy at age 3, have that same psychopathic kind of gaze, he showed in later photos. The story of his origins, while clearly only brushing the surface, explains a lot. His grandfather was probably aggressive and abusive or actually his father. I guess they were one in the same, technically. I believe that these additional victims who could be attributed to Bundy were most likely his victims. We know he was capable. We know he was nearby. We know he had access. Anything that ever came out of Bundy's mouth is suspect. While he did make some confessions, he clearly played with investigators and lied at will, most likely taking pleasure and manipulating the stories.

Excellent coverage of Bundy, and others. I feel like it is totally possible that he was responsible for the little girl, and the other girls he attacked and killed. I grew up in Moscow, Idaho, where Ted attended the University of Idaho law school. My mom worked at the law school. my 3 brothers and I were often involved in practice trials where we would be stand-ins for children in real court cases. The college students (future attorneys and lawyers) held mock trials and we would be the “kids” that were involved in the cases. It was fun. My mother started working there in 1969, after the birth of my baby brother. I was born in 1967, and my two older brothers were born in 1965 & 1963. I sometimes wonder if we were ever in the presence of Ted Bundy. I’m hoping not.
