A young girl in high school, only 15 years old, was flattered by a financially well-off 27-year-old pilot who flew his helicopter over her school. Winning her heart, the two eloped and got married. But, what seemed like the perfect fairy tale love story would soon turn into a murder that fooled the world! On Tuesday, May 11, 2021, at 4:30 AM, a man named Haralambos Anopolis, also known as Babis, was horrifically awakened from bed. At the time of the incident, he had rented a two-story maisonette in the suburbs of Glicka, an area located on the outskirts of Athens, Greece. Babis didn’t have much time to retaliate as three men concealing their identity with hoods scuffled and overpowered him.

Personally, I find that most individuals that get railroaded by individuals like him, usually spend a lot of time either documenting it or talking to others about what they’ve experienced. Verses just taking shrewd steps to up and go away from that which not only doesn’t feel good. But deep down inside (as in instinctively) know isn’t naturally decent or fair behavior. When a person is unfair or chooses to be abusive, there’s no heads up or time spent bringing said target up to speed. So why aim to tell a person like this anything?!? I mean, sure, I had crushes and stuff, and I certainly KNEW a couple of girls who simply couldn't wait to get married and get pregnant, but it certainly wasn't the majority. Additional facts or rumours on the case that I remember: 1. No one was fooled. Many people felt that he was dodgy cause of his body language at his numerous interviews. 2. The police suspected him from day 1 and delaying arrest to collect concrete evidence. That’s why he was arrested within only 4-5 weeks, which could be considered as a short period of time to resolve such a crime. 3. He was a private pilot and there are rumours that he had dealing with a ring, transporting illegal stuff, as a private pilot. Is that what you mean FBI? It could be, if he was engaging with an international ring, but the authorities haven’t confirmed any of these rumours for obvious reasons. 4. It is being said that Caroline found out about his illegal dealings and that was the main reason why he killed her, not only due to domestic abuse. This has not officially been confirmed, either, for obvious reason.

Didn't expect the additional crime of animal abuse. If what is written here about his sentencing is correct, he certainly deserves life, and I hope it's without parole. As for the 10 years for animal cruelty, I think I want some of those Judges over here in UK. I hope her parents got the granddaughter.

Sorry, but 15 year old girls don't dream of being swept off their feet by a 30 year old man. Most of us at that age would feel uncomfortable with love bombing by an "old guy." I think the perv had his feelers out for a victim to groom and this poor girl was the one he ensnared, the one who didn't say "ew, yuck." By the time she was in her early 20s and no longer a child, she began to see who he was and that's when her fate was sealed. Imo. So very tragic.

I am from Greece and I can tell you that: police arrested him after one month from the time the crime happened. Only thing was that within this month he had gained people’s sympathy so much so that after the arrest it was very difficult for us to “hate” him…

He did not fool anyone, he was the main suspect from the start. He killed her because she found out about the illegal activities he was engaged into and wanted to leave him. Even now in prison he still feels no remorse. He is studying to be a lawyer after his release and he receives hundreds of letters from women who say they are in love with him

In Greece it is widely suspected that this case is actually much more compicated than it appears. Notice the amount of police accompanying Babis after his arrest. Why? Have you ever seen so many policemen, so heavily armed accompanying someone for a domestic murder trial? In Greece, which is the EUs Colombia in terms of politician-mafia collaboration, it is said that Babis was involved in drug transport for criminal/business players with his helicopter. Ever Caroline's father has said that Babis killed her because his daughter knew too much and Babis was afraid she would spill the beans. So please realize that the domestic abuse story is only a front. Babis is more dodgy than he appears.

There is some much extra information missing... this case is deep mafia and Babis clearly covers his boss ... what about his closest friend the owner of the tavern who was found dead (when Babis was in jail)? Police said it was suicide BUT he had 2 shots one in the head and one on the heart...!

She was simply too young for marriage, still figuring out her identity at that age. His behavior was highly inappropriate. He became involved with a minor, married her, and treated her poorly. This kind of harmful behavior knows no boundaries. What kind of guardians would allow a man to build such a relationship with their 15-year-old daughter? His actions in pursuing someone so young reflect a need for dominance. Rest in peace, Caroline.

The FBI played no part in this. Greece and all other European countries all have their own special investigative teams. Are you even aware that Europe has an even more respected agency than the FBI? Additionally, suspicions about the husband were fairly strong from early in the investigation, but the team wanted to be sure he wouldn't find out. They even arrested a few men, who were actually European Secret Service undercover agents, kept them under cover, before releasing them without charge. It was a very clever move because the husband thought they did not suspect him. When they finally arrested him, he was shocked. I love to here about crimes being solved. There is no need for some American Utuber to change names, claim the FBI was involved and do so little research. Do you think Americans are stupid? Do you think they wouldn't know that the FBI is an American organisation? Don't you feel shame for doing so little research? Please, if you attempt to cover crimes from other advanced nations, you should do better than Google European Crimes.
