I was already a (New) fan of Andy Wood over the past few years, but this video is by far the best thing I've ever seen. I will be buying the Andy Wood True Fire lesson just to support this great artist. Way to go & Peace! X-Mann \m/

Yes, Danny (Gatton) was my Bret Mason. After hearing Danny I almost exclusively played a variety of Teles from then on. After haven't playing regularly for almost 10 years, I'm back into it thanks to my 8 yo son who's been picking since 6. Thanks so much for sharing your insight!!!

Andy is a virtuoso! Awesome picking technique and master of so many styles. He is the Pic King, and kudos to Truefire for showcasing his unbelievable talents. His awareness of what makes up the different sty;es he plays is awesome. If he came to Ireland he'd be perfect! :-)

jumping from one style to another in short succession like Andy does, can be really hard some days as feel is always the bottom line. to me when he went from rock to jazz he was still a little rock feel at the start of the jazz break. he managed to pull it together. very good.

Love it all. But the shapeshifter bits around the 18 minute mark are great. Amazing capturing Derek Trucks feel and sound without a slide. I think maybe your biggest talent isn't fingers at all - its ears.

I feel like this guy would have a lot to say about the movie Predator...if only there were some type of audio-based discussion platform for such things...maybe something that would be dead AND lovely?

Hold old Is Andy now? I read online he was born in 1981, which makes him 39 this year. Anyone know his birthday?
