Amazing research tbh, a job well done. Sadly, I only add 1 recoil control attachment, usually an underbarrel, because it just kills ADS and mobility to have a recoil control stock or barrel. A shame attachments have so many cons now, which easily outweigh the benefits. Once again, great video.

@voodooopaque6357 Жыл бұрын

@WyleEZtv Жыл бұрын
@Voodoo Opaque not really. Recoil compensators (vertical and horizontal) are better than the dark muzzle. Silencers give a smoother recoil feel, but more actual recoil than the comps.

If you watch COD next, there is a brief allusion to this. They feel they may intellectually intimidate the players and alienate their audience.
@Manning262 жыл бұрын
@@stefanrenn-jones9452 Thanks for this, Stefan, I did watch parts of the event but missed that info. Don't you think though that a best practice would be to have this explanation in-game? Since most of us are buying digital downloads instead of hard copies there's no user manual to reference for details. Heck, if this kind of information was even more readily available online channels like this along with JGOD, Exclusive Ace, P4wnyhof, et cetera wouldn't be so popular, as there would be no need. I don't mean to sound unfair, I don't think the developers of this game are lazy, they're just clearly under ridiculous constraints where they aren't given the resources beyond making the game technically functional and ensuring the store can sell skins, UI/UX design is clearly taken a backseat. Sorry for the rambling reply, Stefan, I just think there's a better way to not intimidate or alienate the audience and maybe you're being a bit too charitable. ;)

@r.j.bedore98842 жыл бұрын
Tony, the effort you put in to this is incredible and very appreciated. Something I noticed from the recoil plots in Xclusive Ace's video about the types of recoil is that Recoil Smoothness seems to even out the spacing between bullets, both reducing side-to-side bounce and the large gap between the first few shots that you see on some guns. It doesn't seem to reduce the overall magnitude of recoil or change the shape of the recoil pattern (i.e. how much it curves to one side or does an S pattern) but seems to tighten up and smooth out the bullets' spacing along that pattern in a more even and consistent manner. Further testing and analysis would be needed to confirm this, but from a purely visual inspection of plots from a couple of sources this seems to be how Recoil Smoothness functions.

Hi TGD, Some of the recoil descriptions seem to hint at the intended function of recoil steadiness and recoil stabilization. Recoil Steadiness: "helps control kick" Recoil Stabilization: "helps your shots stay on target during sustained fire" It's easiest to see this behavior on a semi-auto with a high zoom scope. Steadiness does seem to reduce the amount of visual kick during a shot. Stabilization seems to behave somewhat like idle stability, but after a shot. You can take a shot and notice how much the reticle shakes before returning to the idle sway pattern. With a recoil stabilization attachment this exaggerated sway after a shot is greatly reduced, and the gun returns to idle sway much faster. It seems much harder to tell what some of these stats do on automatics but I think IW really made an effort to enhanced semis in this game compared to MW 2019. I'd love to see you do a video specifically on single shot gun behavior, which gain less benefit from analyzing spray patterns and gain more from what we learn about visual recoil.

Probably the best video I’ve seen so far in this new game… I just got a PS5 (finally) and MW2 looks awesome on my cheap Vizio V-series 4K tv!! But as a long time COD fan (played the very first one on PC) this is by far the most drastic change the developers have made IMHO. Not sure if they even know what to do with this yet… honestly, it’s videos like this that could shape the direction they go with the weapon customization. I think the game is basically still a beta at this point and I’m sure they’ll have at least one major update that will polish up a lot of the inconsistencies that we’re seeing. It’s a great game so far, but this is definitely not close to the finished product. They need to give values to the tuning data and make sure they’re accurately represented in real gameplay. Great video and I think this confirms what I thought about tuning. It’s about finding the sweet spot using the graph and I’m sure there are certain OP attachments that vary depending on if you’re building a Run N Gun build or more for long distance accuracy on bigger maps and Warzone/DMZ. I like the new DMZ but I don’t like how MW2 is $70 now just because it’s PS5?! Also, they I hope they don’t turn this into another micro transaction pay to win game for multiplayer. I think they almost don’t want to make a finished product because they’re more concerned with how they’re going to make people pay more money
