@Pablo0812 жыл бұрын
I had noticed how the graph moved - sometimes it would make a huge jump, then small ones, even getting worse sometimes. The way I tune is I move the slider in the direction I want and see if there's a big jump at some point. If there are no more big jumps, I try to leave it just past the big jump so as to not affect the other stats too much. Once in a while, you get a big increase in one area and big decrease in another (usually recoil/ADS) and you just have to make the choice. Also helpful to go to the firing range after each tune to see if there's any noticeable difference.

No it doesn't, Tony's base here is the attachment with no tuning (so it already has the improved aim stability as the reference point). @@mdv_83 for sure, but my thought is if you take an attachment and focus on tuning to scale back the negatives, while potentially getting less of a benefit that attachment would normally offer, do you end up with better stats than no attachment? Or if I want better ads, am I better off focusing on attachments that don't hurt my ads and tuning to be snappier than taking ads attachments cause I'll have less negatives?
@invisalats8412 жыл бұрын
They aren't better naked. Mobility is better naked. They went a little overboard with mobility penalties for attachments. I set up the AK ripoff for recoil control without tuning, and it was basically a laser, but you had no real ads movement, and all movement is penalized. Great if you want to camp and peek out windows all match, not so great if you are not in a building or on a rooftop. I mean, I don't want realism, but it is a complete fantasy world to have attachments give such high penalties. Also, ads speed is an issue as well when using recoil control attachments. So you basically choose between having attachments to make it easier to hit the target or not having more attachments to have decent ads time and movement ability. My setup had a longer ads time than most snipers lol. Also the whole leveling and unlocking gunsmith system is annoying as heck and time consuming. They actually managed to make it more annoying than leveling the new Meta gun in wz after vanguard dropped.

They are leaving the Weapon Tuning a mystery so they can make superior Blueprints tuned with their developer knowledge, and then sell them in the store or stick them on the battlepass. Notice how all the battlepass/blueprint weapons are "Pro Tuned", but you can't examine the tuning? Yeah, they're hiding that info on purpose so you can't see the tuning sliders and then re-create that weapon tune without paying for the blueprint or the battlepass. If you want the tune, pull out your wallet and buy it. Just another way to monetize every aspect of your Call of Duty experience.

@IceCold81002 жыл бұрын
The slider being all the way toward "worse aim sway" but still being better than default aim sway actually makes some sense and definitely isn't an error: If you read the "Pros" section of the FTAC Ripper, "Aiming Idle Stability" is listed as a "Pro" which indicates that the attachment provides that benefit when it is equipped. If you could tune that benefit completely away then it would effectively defeat one of the purposes of that attachment. It wouldn't make sense to equip an attachment that supposedly helps reduce "aim sway" or "recoil" but then you "tune" it to do the exact opposite thing that it was designed to do. It wouldn't really be "tuning" in that case anymore and would make balancing incredibly difficult for the devs. Attachments still need to function as they were intended, tuning just gives you the opportunity to adjust how much your pros and cons scale. We don't get to just completely remove the pros and cons of equipping attachments. Great video btw. Very insightful!

You're the man.. Thanks for this. I was wondering what the hell was going on with these values. It looks like there still isn't a foolproof "formula" to understand, but at least we have some idea now.

Actually u giving this informations for free is kinda insane, these calculations and hours of “not fun” games are mind blowing , srsly tnx a lot man ❤❤❤

Wow! Some intense information! Thank you! I had to watch it multiple times to understand any of it lol, some great work you put into this for us! I agree they need to come out and make a in-depth video on it

Try Increasing your recording buffer or double check your cables and ports for the mic issues if you haven't yet. Great info too straight to the point thank you

TGD is such an underrated channel. Same as the work that it's put together from Tony to present all this true game data. Really hope that at some point people will not just appreciate the work but also the quality of info he shares. Really hope the channel gets more attention. Thanks for the info Tony!

Tuning feels like cooking without measuring tools/cups. A little bit of this and a little bit of that. Lol, thanks for making it understandable.

I swear TGD is the reason why they did this weapon tuning. You are amazing sir thank you!

It would be nice is instead of sliders, bars and graphs, we just got raw numbers, then again I wouldn't want you out of business. This is so helpful .

Nice work it confirms I'm not wasting my time in the firing range tweeking

I figured this was the case, and noticed it while tuning barrel length. In reality, there are diminishing returns, and there is sort of a sweet spot. For example, a barrel length on a 5.56 AR-15 of 16 inches is pretty decent. It's not too long, but you still aren't losing that much velocity from the optimal 20 inch length. If you go in reverse, you still get gains beyond 20 inches, but anything above that, and the amount of velocity increase is starts becoming miniscule, and you are just making the gun more unwieldy and bulkier. I mean from a sitting bench rest position, you could basically min max for optimal ballistics, but for real world use, the gains you get with diminishing returns just aren't worth the the drawbacks you get from making a barrel too long or too short, and the +/- difference in velocity isn't linear to barrel length. Too long, and you barely gain additional velocity, too short and your velocity starts taking a quick nosedive, but there's a sweet spot in between like 14.5 to 20 inches. And yes, I know there's people running like 9 inch, but it defeats the purpose of having a rifle caliber firearm. Anything below like 10.3 is just a novelty, and you might as well use a different caliber more suited to that barrel length. Ballistic performance and the optimization of firearms is WAY more complex than many people think.

Nice video dude. I had a feeling they would do something like this. It is called "tuning" after all, as in, fine tuning. You have to get it just right for you. I guess it would be pretty straightforward if they made it "bang the slider all the way up or all the way to the right to make it great". We're all gonna have to play around with this a lot to get it just right for each player.

Great video. I envy folks who can break down data in a way people understand. I understand it. But I can't communicate it. Glad your doing it! God's work my man haha. Keep it up.

So basically the best option is to tune according to the graph and find the sweet spot for each attachment. Great video, facts facts facts!

I think while Tony is testing all attachments and getting the numbers down, we should all be…dare I say, actually TRUSTING the in game graphs this time. They seem to have put a lot of effort into preventing “meta finds”, by putting a lot of variables into the numbers this time around, however in doing so, seem to have provided more reliable charts per attachment & tuning. That is to say “if you want recoil control, trust the stock that says it provides the most”. The tuning aspect also follows this according to Tony’s breakdown of the graph. To where while he’s finding the numbers, we should essentially say “fuck the numbers”, & tune it according to how the graph is showing us tuning values vs what type of build we are tuning for. Screen shots & Live Photos WILL be valuable this year. As will the firing range. Example: I spent 3 hours last night testing the Lachman 556 in the firing range. Extremes felt like more of the same. But it wasn’t until “finely tuning” the gun according to the graph that I found a build using the VLK 4x optic where it truly felt like it had “no recoil”(and yes, there is a build for this weapon where it will not move, almost slightly, similar to the grau 5.56 in WZ 1).

Other COD KZbinrs: "YOU GUYS check out this most OVERPOWERED weapon setup!!!!" (*based on nothing but a single game with it*) TrueGameData: "so anyways after collecting the data on the X and y values of weapon sway I went into matlab to perform a Fourier analysis..." You contribute more than literally thousands of other content creators combined.

Super interesting, especially the movement speed part. I wonder how tough it will be to keep up with buffs and nerfs if there is also updates to the tuning stats. GG

This right here is whats giving me anxiety and putting me off playing till i can at least get a dismemberment gun (those just made the gameplay fun af in 2019) i feel nerfing and buffing of the guns without us getting an explanation of the tuning system is only gonna cause major headaches
