@ its all garbage . it will never change. If anything it will get worse. People will always thrive on others misfortune. This pair of jokers will never change that. Go and check out their good friend jaakmates video about love island. Listen to what he says about her. It's all bollocks. Will never change. Also its not just unhappy people with bad lives that do it. Just another myth. People can be heartless. It's that simple. Will never change. Im successful and I prefer to read about a celebrity that's messed up rather than one that's been promoted, ok 👌 I don't hurl insults at them but I would read about it. You even saying this is giving them publicity. Painting them as the big bad wolf allows trolls and such to gravitate towards it because they know it gets reactions out of people. Any decent person knows the chequered history that newspaper have and the bastard that Rupert Murdoch is. I agree with your sentiment but by simply posting it anywhere is spreading their name. Best for everyone to just absolutely ignore it. Don’t say it’s good or bad. It’s obviously bad but it doesn’t need to be said anymore it’s clear.

I realise that hundreds of people commit suicide everyday and that her celebrity status doesn't make it any more tragic. But I did feel deeply sorry for her. The blood we all saw on her bed (which to me didn't even look like blood) was hers from self harm, and her bf was adamant that she was innocent. The police wanted to make an example of her. Her career was over and her reputation in tatters. I'd certainly want to end my life if I was in that situation. I've never watched Love Island in my life but her suicide still had a profound effect on me

In 2009 when I was 14 social media just starting to become what it's ended up as today but it wasn't yet quite as important as people view it now. Everyone I knew had a Facebook and even back then there was a lot of bullying and abuse between people at my school so I can't even imagine what it's like for kids who are growing up now to have so much pressure to have followers and likes. I have a younger cousin and now and again I see comments that these kids are making to eachother and it honestly worries me. If I ever have kids I'm not letting them anywhere near social media until I know they're mature enough to handle what having a public profile comes with because I know from experience it can seriously mess with your sense of reality especially when you're a teenager. All of these sites need to come with warnings about comments and abuse you can receive through them and should be age restricted, I know younger kids will still get on but it might stop at least few people from going through the same type of bullshit I did in school. Honestly the world would be better off without social media, no, the world was better off without it.

Suicide is like a bomb. Ticking, slowly towards an explosion. All cases of suicide that are published widely have similar supposed causes. Humans aren't built to be judged by millions. They're barely even built to be judged by a classroom. There's always a defuser in these situations but sometimes the clock speeds up too fast. We need to be more efficient in defusing instead of being so efficient in pressing the pedal on the timer... Great podcast boys. Good on you guys for speaking up.

This conversation is immense. You're both so brave in your honesty and frankness. But, and the crucial element is how refreshing it is when people are as honest as you both are within this conversation and how many times you hit on the truth. Bravo, seriously. Please keep doing what you're doing you two. Hitting on the truth is like a checkmate. This video is important, as when the truth turns up - the lies to the contrary melt away like piss on snow. This isn't always the case, sure. But people who genuinely want to be objective, but are struggling with that, I think that videos like this can really help then see. Such a rare experience, listening to this one. I can't think of a single element I don't agree with. I extremely rarely comment on anything, but with this one I had to. Please keep unleashing your perspectives, you two, whenever you've done what you've clearly done prior to this video. It's powerful as fuck. Much respect.

I think a lot of the abuse leveled toward her was for the fact that it was a domestic abuse case where a woman was abusing the man allegedly and in some people’s eyes would have thought that if it was a man in the same situation they would get harsher treatment from the media, but that doesn’t make it right, and I’m not condoning it, that’s just what I remember from when it happened

@@mathewhalloway2588 charged, not convicted. You can really charge anyone with anything, it doesn't mean they are guilty as of yet. She hadn't even gone to her trial, so how could she have been proven guilty? So yes, it is alleged.
@mathewhalloway2588
@mathewhalloway2588 4 жыл бұрын
@Tom Hardy The Crown Prosecution Service decided it would be in the public interest to prosecute her despite the victim redacting the charges of assault by battery. They did this because “The evidence is convincing enough that the reasonable competent person would not behave in the manor demonstrated in the evidence given to the CPS”. The case was only dismissed after she committed suicide because one must appear in court to be officially convicted. Therefore , the fact that the CPS decided to prosecute her despite her boyfriend redaction of testimony indicted that the evidence was utterly convincing since the CPS almost never Pursue cases were a redaction has been made by the victim. Furthermore, she was due in court 3 weeks ahead of her death the trial was to continue. So no it was not alleged if the CPS were going to prosecute despite the victims redaction of testimony.
@tomhardy116
@tomhardy116 4 жыл бұрын
@@mathewhalloway2588 they decided to carry on with the trial, yes? But she was not yet prosecuted, you don't have any trials after being prosecuted unless it is an appeal. The CPS saw it as something to follow through with, but that in itself means practically nothing. How the fuck is it 'to the public benefit' to put through to trial a case where a couple had a scuffle and one allegedly threw a lamp at the other? It's clear she is not a seriously violent person who will bow up at any minute and hurt someone of the public, it was a domestic situation that got out of hand... Also, the WITNESS, the man who was allegedly hit with the lamp by Caroline even denied the claim. The CPS makes mistakes, a lot. They drop cases which are strong, and push cases through the system which aren't (ofc this isn't a continuous lapse of judgement, it happens enough though to not just take their word for it). On that basis, neither your or I can say whether she would have won or loss that trial, which means by default the claims against her are mere accusations, not fact. Innocent until proven guilty... And honestly, the case is beyond weak. He suffered a minor injury, the blood in the room was said to be Caroline's, the witness (the man who was hit, which is a pretty strong fucking witness lol) himself has denied the claims... So yes, it is alleged. Unless you can show me where she was convicted? Because only then is she considered guilty.
@leopardprints
@leopardprints 4 жыл бұрын
@@tomhardy116 It could have been case of that she was throwing things around the room and the lamp hit him on the head. In the 999 call, her boyfriend said 'She's cracked my skull' which she clearly hadn't. He'd know damn well if his skull was cracked, so no idea why he said that in the call. Maybe at the time he genuinely thought that, but doesn't mean it's true.

Caroline already had pre-existing mental health problems with a history of depression. She should have been put on suicide watch and her case not made so public. I don’t think her death is exactly linked to being a host of Love Island but rather the way the media was tarnishing her name in the media. She couldn’t have fully came back from the court case even if she was found not guilty. It’s terrible that Caroline passed in such a way but I do also honestly think that if she was a man/person of colour she wouldn’t have gained as much sympathy after her death as she has done.
