For those who are thinking about working in USA someday, studying a Bachelor degree in engineering is the ticket. This includes software engineer, computer engineer, electrical engineer, data engineer, network engineer, etc. The undergraduate engineering program needs to be CEAB (Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board) accredited. For Canadians, with US job offer at hand, they can apply for TN-1 visa at US-Canada border or airport for about $60. TN-1 is a 3-yr non-immigration visa that can be renewed as many times as required. Both US and Canadian job markets can be opened up to you. Unfortunately, software developer, programmer, IT, database scientist, and web developers are not qualified for TN-1 visa, except for computer systems analyst.
