Cloud Sync is a cool feature in my case, but what i'm missing is a short description about the Snapshot option in an sync task, e.g. is this a permanent snapshot or only a snapshot until the sync task is finished.

Are you able to breakup the tasks over many days? I have a lot of data it says 4 days but I don't want it killing my bandwidth during the day.. so only at 12an-6am.

@@TrueNAS I would like to be able to go back to a state that is earlier than the most recent copy. With replication, I can maintain an number of snapshots on a remote system. I guess I could just copy each iteration into another directory, but this seems quite inefficient. Something as simple as the old dd to tape could be set to only send what had been modified since the last higher level increment. Better would be a backup app that chunked the data and only sent what was needed while also deduplicating the chunks.

@@YeOldeTraveller snapshot task it can exists also on the same system, doesn't have to replicate on another system. Having a snapshot on a single system, it allows to go back in time like you said.

Cool feature, but crashplan is so cheap I’d never use it.
