I thought the phillies were gonna be serious contenders with this roster early, but after seeing them not reach the potential i expected when regular season ended, i would not have guessed they would beat atlanta that easily despite showing signs that they were heatin up. They were solid in regular season, but they didnt quite show how dominant they could be. but its all about getting hot when it matters...and they are Hot. Now They are playing up to the potential i thought they could. SD really shocked me, they got hot unexpectedly, and i didnt trust their bats enough to get past NY and especially LA. They bats arent crackin off like the phillies, but that doesnt mean they arent as hot, because they beat the "better" teams and had a tougher road. They beat a 100+ win mets team, then shocked us all by winning 3 straight against the 111 win dodgers. I have a feeling we are about to witness a historic NLCS, id put money on it going 7 games. I think the pitching, in its entirety, between SD & PHI are dead even, when you consider aces, the relievers, and the bullpen. The bats i would have to give the edge to the phillies definitivly. The in/outfields, for some reason i just got a feeling i have to give the edge to SD. SDs batters from 7-9 are also hotter than anyones. Idk who to choose, my brain would say PHI, but after this crazy postseason and tbh, im also a little biased for the padres, i would pick padres in 7. But both teams arent scared, both teams are hot and feel like underdogs, and its gonna be great.

The Braves doesn't seemed to treat this game with much urgency, as if they could easily flip the switch when required. Especially Acuna Jr, who looked disinterested. Wasn't he supposed to be the fastest outfielder in the league? Yet he appeared to be jogging and waiting for fly balls to drop instead of hustling. And not backing up your centerfielder? That's plain lazy! Any minor leaguer would lose their spot if they did that. Maybe his winning desire isn't as much after the WS last year but the Braves won it without him, so maybe this reveals his pro ethics.
