Honestly the worst part of Injustice 2 for me . I loved playing Supergirl but felt like I had to because I needed to counter zone . Felt like my options were either zone with someone like Deadshot, Fate or Starfire or pick a counter zoner like Supergirl or Catwoman (mostly her low dash) . The likes of Scarecrow , Robin and Black Canary were some of my faves but could just as well not exist .

@@sizzle9475 Supergirl was one of the fewer characters that could deal with anything. You didn't even need to counter zone. She could get in relatively safely versus most zoning. Jump, air dash, then air trait would give you a lot of hang time to avoid basically anything.

I would agree if the game was down+back to block instead of just down, though. Since it wasn't really a cross up, I didn't have an issue with the overhead. The thing that needed changed (and eventually was) was her meter burn trait. It was like 10% chip completely safe. But then they also went and made her D1 have 9f start up.

I always struggled against pre patch deadshot even with super girl. Teleport wasn’t a great for dealing with wrist shot cuz it’s recovery used to be SO good. Before it got nerfed. So you couldn’t really react/read with teleport consistently (he’d recover from wrist shot to fast to punish) When deadshot was at his best, he beat supergirl imo. Good deadshot’s will bait teleport all the time and even when there not baiting there safe most the time cuz again, wrist shot recovered that quickly.

A few years ago my town had a local Injustice 2 tournament hosted at a movie theater with games played on the big screen. I wound up getting fourth place, narrowly stopping me from winning any prizes, because some greasy 30-40 something decided to switch to Deadshot in the semi finals against me to secure his win (after spending the whole tournament utterly curbstomping in fights against actual children, like 5-10 years old who can’t react as well, by spamming Aquaman tentacles and Atrocitus tornados so they couldn’t move) Luckily some real pros managed to stop him from winning the whole thing but I’m still pissed. I hope you’re proud of stealing those Funko Pops from deserving little kids you smug bastard. I say smug because he repeatedly talked about how he spent a month learning Aquaman when the game was out only 2-3 weeks. Like holy crap dude I can learn how to repeatedly down back 2 in 5 minutes

He is fairly easy to pick up, he's very good at wake up attacks and punishing other players, but unless you are stuck in a corner(which let's be real makes any character seem powerful), dealing with doomsday is a bit simple. All you need to do for his supernova move is just dash, which is really easy even with how fast the attack intiates, and his earth shake move just needs to be blocked low. But yeah his trait and his venom moves can be tough to deal with sometimes.

Injustice 1 had far too much jank and egregious frame data to be a good game, or even fun, in my opinion. But Injustice 2 is my favorite NRS game, and I think it's the best game they've made so far. They just killed the games reputation by releasing it in a poorly balanced state. After the first balance patch, the game was actually decently well balanced. There were only a few problem characters, but literally all NRS games have a few problem characters. If they just didn't make the mistake of designing Deadshot and Starfire poorly. But what can you do? NRS are pretty dumb when it comes to balancing fighting games if we're being honest.

Mk11 Aftermath Story is 110% better than Vanilla Mk11 Story mode. Mk9 Shang Tsung I didn’t like or missed until Shao Khan killed him. Fujin I didn’t know how much I loved until Aftermath came out. Both as a character and gameplay wise easily became my 2nd favorite. Shang Tsung is my number 1 character because I always love his smug personality and his constant expression is this “😏” I am a Fujin main now. You forgot that Jackie could also play a rush down in the same variation, she still has overhead, low, both can lead to 35%, 40 midscreen for one bar, even higher in the corner. She had hard to blockables with her enhanced low missile into the overhead, so I think she was just as solid keep away/rush down. Also Doomsday could start combos off that overhead low slap thingy with a down 2 into a tight back 3.

You forgot one small caveat to Doomsday. He had one of, if not, the longest grab reaches in the game. He could literally go for a grab at footsie range and it was relatively safe. Grabs in Injustice chip on tech so there were situations where Doomsday could grab you from pretty far away and you'd lose because the grab would chip you out. You would literally tech it and die right after. I vividly remember this being an online tactic used and some tournaments you'd see a cheeky pro abusing his grab range.

Like a race car driver that just pays billions for a rocket car to race against regular people with regular money. The video I saw was absolute trash. This dude was jumping backward & spamming Kabals projectile, & he did not do a single other move the entire 2 matches. That was the grand finale match. That specific projectile in MK9 is completely unbeatable. Normally, when weak ass posers try to spam, it's easy to work around. However, if you know anything about MK9 meta, you know how overly broken Kabal is. It's not surprising that I'd get a response like this. I mean, the MK community is basically a knockoff of Reddit in terms of the amount of neckbeards that ruin it for the true fans. I've been an MK fan my entire life. It's always been ubiquitous in my home. This is NOT what it was like being an MK fan in its heyday. Im only 29, but I can definitely tell you that you have all totally ruined it for REAL fans of the franchise. It just really sucks to go online & attempt to have a friendly match, only to get matched with a max level Kombat League Elder skin Scorpion user that has broken even the FRAMES down to a point where, unless you have also jerked off over the source code in a dark room while using your greasy tears for lube, then you dont stand a chance. Trying to play normally as the game was intended is vs CPU only. If you think that reflects a positive, mature community, then idk what else to say. We wont see eye to eye. Dont get me wrong, using a characters strengths is how you play the game. Using a frame bug that the developers didnt intend to get frame perfect unblockable screen-sized projectiles at lightning speed is not how you should play the game. Do you basically cheat at everything you do, or just MK?

Just to add with Deadshot.. you can use his trait to use green bullets which lessens the enemy's bar whenever your bullets connect.. any bullets from any attack for that matter.. which means not only can he give and advantage to himself by using keep aways, he can also lessen your chance of fighting back by taking your meter away.. 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

I think it’s always been a problem that projectiles don’t hit each other, since they have zoners but it’s impossible to have a fireball war. So they have a bunch of zoners but only like 3 are good and the rest can’t outzone them.

I honestly really think Tremor from mkx was by far one of the most toxic characters at least his Crystaline variation. He had disgusting pressure and if you were in the corner you had to deal with so much bs. I think Lui Kang was the only character that was able to keep up with him somewhat. Only keep away characters were probably his only real counters. Though I can be wrong and I never knew how to counter his crystal variation since all players would do is armor up like doomsday.
