When I was playing Lofoten Links 2 years ago I met a guy, who was flying a drone over the golf course to take footage. I asked him which golf simulator he was doing that for. He said that it was for a new E6. And I made exactly the same error on hole #2. I took 8 Iron, instead of 7 Iron :-) The range looks exactly like a real thing. I love what they did. It is an amazing course. It features probably the most penal rough I played in my entire life.

I have stressed to them the ball physics are vital and for this early they already seem pretty good on final surfaces that are programmed so I’m hopeful for sure.

How many courses do they anticipate including? I've only seen a couple sims that are legit looking. Meaning not cartoons or "video gamish". This is unreal how close they're getting to true, vivid, real looking experience. The newest trackman version V3 and HD Golf's package set the bar for graphic quality and reality feeling. HD golf is off the charts nice. The Tru Golf practice options and playing a hole on a course to practice, selecting lies, weather, etc. is brilliant and much needed. Impressive.

Huge improvement over the current E6. The overhead cam for the LM is very similar to QED but the close up and the lines to show the face angle are so much better. Very nice. Thank you for showing. I missed it if you said it in the video but for people that own E6, is there an upgrade cost when the new software comes out or is it a full purchase again? E6 was not cheap!

The pricing has not yet been released. I will be sure to update everyone on that as soon as it is provided. I would assume the Apogee with have a software package included like it does not, but not 100% sure.

When this software was just a little glimmer in their eye the market and the pricing models were a lot different. When it launches it'll be going up up against a 250/year software disrupting the other companies too. I'm sure they had a number like 3000.00 to charge for the software originally. I still don't think you'll get this for under a thousand a year.

Yeah I am not sure, pricing has not be released yet, but they did start do a lot more subscription recently and even including iOS/PC software with units like Mevo+, so it will be interesting to see. I will try and get that information as soon as possible and share it. Thanks for watching!

Will this be in iOS? I assume not given the graphics? I’m probably in a weird sim demographic given that I play outside in a net with my Mevo + and iPad (on E6) For me I’m more concerned by number and variety of courses than graphics per se.

Add me to that demographic too…I use a net outdoors with my iPad and Rapsodo LM. The smart companies will stop trying to just cater to the folks who have the space and budget to buy indoor sims and come out with better software and devices for iPad. Way bigger market and relatively untapped still.

I just renewed my E6 connect last mouth for the year. I was talking to the rep at TruGolf on a release date and do I need to do anything different as I use the ISO platform with the R10? He knew about as much as I did. any ideas?

Yes, they already have some launch monitors and integrated. From what I understand, it will support all of the same launch monitors as the original E6 connect.

It’s honestly a question nobody should answer. I hear people everyday tell me why one software is better than another. Facts are it is mainly personal preference outside of compatibility and actual features. Graphics are just up to the user. That is why I try to just show them as much as I can so everyone can make their own decision based on what they like. I know it uses the laser to show you where to put the ball, but do you know how big the hitting area is? Is it just the laser dot?

It’s a pretty small hitting area probably about 6” wide 6” long circle.

The field is getting crowded, but since so little software is proprietary now (like FSX, Full Swing, and Golfzon’s are) you gotta wonder if these guys’ time and R&D are better spent on multi-compatible software releases and subscriptions?

Not sure. E6 has always been huge with software, so I think it’s a big part of their business, even though they are actually a pretty small company essentially. Family owned and all in house work.

They better support DirectX properly this time or I'm out. There's no reason not to support AMD's GPUs like in old version. Any way to tell the FPS on your current hardware? (What GPU?) Any other Launch monitor support in this build you could see? Grass does look amazing. I wonder how many courses they'll have because E6 Connect had way too many old courses from version 1.6 that are a bit cartoony. Disappointing that they'll still in alpha. But I already bought GSPro for this year. But cool to see. thanks

@@VoodooZThis is at 4k. You could run in 1080p as well and I am sure it does not require a 3090 but as it gets closer to release they will have a min requirement I can share. It is perfectly smooth at 4k here with duplicated screen and projector and running 3rd monitor recording at a high bitrate! KZbin steps on the quality of course so not a true true 4k like I am seeing.

Looks like they missed this winter season, so big ouch and hope they dont take too many Ls. Trackmans new bit of kit is looking better every day and the various options for gspro are huge these days. Trugolf are going to have to do something special here.

I think they were just held up with development, Elon Musk also promised his truck to be released in 2021, and it still is not out! LOL Target dates can be missed, it's life and business. I called them today and the agent did not even know about a new software. To be fair, if you want to post this on your channel maybe ask E6 to give more information. This is a tiny company, and yes it has clearly missed it's deadline but at least is starting to show more. This is all of the information they provided, the public beta is slated for January, not sure what else to tell you. You have to keep in mind, I do not work for these guys, so I have no say in their actions other than maybe suggestions I share or viewers put in their comments.
