Footage is available for license contact [e-mail] - (Chuuk) is known as one of the best shipwreck diving locations on the planet due to the large number of sunken ships and planes in a sheltered area. In February 1944 the United States Navy launched a large surface and air attack for 3 days called "Operation Hailstone" sinking over 40 ships, and destroying more than 275 planes. Truk was the Japanese anchorage during WWII and the USA took out merchant ships, battleships, destroyers, tankers, minesweepers, and gunboats making this area the largest shipwreck graveyard in the world. There's nothing wrong with enjoying looking at the surface of the ocean itself, except that when you finally see what goes on underwater,you realize that you've been missing the whole point of the ocean. WE WERE THERE 50YEARS AGO, DIVED 57 TIMES ON THE FUJI AND OTHERS. I HAVE GR888 PICS OF THIOSE TIMES; LOTS OF CULTURAL ARTIFACTS. I WAS PEDIATRICIAN THERE FOR 2 YEARS, 71-73; THOSE YEARS WERE THE HIGH LITES OF MY PROFESSIONAL CAREER. I LOOK FORWARD TO GOING BACK SOON.

@@RoDe_1337I think it would be better if you ask your airlines from there, because I’m thinking maybe some other countries might have different prices on tickets going to the Micronesia 🇫🇲 islands but I’m sure your gonna need visa also for your access, but I remember view Russian came visiting our islands to discover the same thing, so you should try it

@@RoDe_1337your travels will be russia to china and through the Filipin and from there you go to the Mariana’s island of guam then last your on your way to chuuk state of Micronesia, but I’m not to sure about the cost from there, but from chuuk state Micronesia to the US is almost 1500 depends on the price, sometimes it raises up 1600 and comes back down to a chip price, but that’s only one way that I calculate, so let’s just say your facing 5000USD just for the ticket, and one thing is only United Airlines comes around Micronesian region

Nice like to compare it to Cousteau expedition there from many years ago . He mentioned that when he was there the lack of large fish and how is was due to the onslaught of the bombing campaign and how fish grow and how it takes many years to become extremely large .

We don't encourage anyone to sit inside of any plane or wreck. These are 77 years old and they get damaged when divers do that. We'd like to try and preserve these pieces of history for as long as possible! Someone in 2019 brok the tail off of a zero by sitting on it for a photo. Thanks for watching and for your comments! Oh the medicine, i guess the caps must have disinigrated ...i haven't seen any full ones but i'm sure their could be!

Depths vary. Most wrecks are 40 to 130ft deep. Itgers are 170 - 210ft deep

US citizens and European Union members citizens needs no Visa to visit the Pacific islands that are currently under US protection and jurisdiction. United Airlines the only flight operated in the region. To go to Chuuk you can fly to Hawaii or Japan and fly to Guam from Guam to Chuuk. Also from Hawaii take the island hopper flight to the Marshall island chains till you get to Chuuk.
