"Education should be more than just grades", Excellent !! Matt.

Well said, thanks Matt. It could be that grades work best for the sort of people who aim to be taken on by the sort of people who look for grades as their 'go to' measure. That can end up misdirecting one group of people (like me) into a wrong direction, leaving another group of people overlooked concerning their actual skill set (like me), and also lead people to falsely believing they are useless failures having no business thinking about improving themselves.

One thing out there already is MI theory - Multiple Intelligence, Gardner, Harvard. The Wholistic approach you present comes, unfortunately, with a price. Finding teachers that can or even want to master an individual-based teaching methodology means you are going after more expensive teachers. Finding administration? Well , those are the ideologs that have corrupted education. The big problem is that learning/teaching theory has almost as many variants out there as there are instructors/professors/teachers. Everyone has their own theory and, of course, and theirs is the best. Obviously, implementation is a disaster in the US in public schools. OK, we have to talk about student openness to learning, their personal style of handling learning challenges (fight, flight, freeze), absence/presence of a stable home life. The destruction of the family unit is the leading cause of problems, but big money and elites will never admit this. So, we continue to have to teach to the lowest denominator in the class. Good presentation, by the way, appreciated it.
