I had the same hose, like you say very stiff and hard to pack away neatly. So I swapped the hose out completely for a flat hose real. I kept the bit caravan side of the regulator but shortened it and I use the flat hose everywhere else. Lots easier to roll up and store now. 👍🏻👍🏻

Hi Ade. Yes its a pain in the @55. I thought about doing almost the full length but changed my mind as we are off to Holland and Spain this year and will need a longer hose. But I may cut it down again after our euro trips. Thanks for taking the time to comment. Phil🙂👍

Cheers Phil, never used a fully serviced pitch yet but that day will certainly come, (not getting any younger) I have watched Rob Wise who loves a fully serviced pitch, thanks again Phil,👍.

Hi BB. Ah yes the fully serviced pitch my only kind of pitch. When I met up with Colin and Rob. Rob and I insisted on fully serviced😂. It's the future😉 Thanks Phil🙂👍

Hi Phil, I hope you are well and thank you for the shout-out. Nice alternative option to the soloution. i think I will have to do that. . 😁. Happy Camping James

Hi James all well here. I prefer the flat hose as I had on the Whale version. I suppose it makes sense (well to me anyway). Thanks Phil👍🙂

@lostweekendscaravan Hi Phip. Totally agree, I will be looking at swapping to the flat hose. 😄

Nice neat solution Phil, you're right that hose is huge, mine is in the front locker in a right mess...

Hi Phil, Nice neat solution 👍. With both the Whale or Truma kit, they take up a lot less room than an aqua roll 😁. Cheers Rob

Thanks Rob n Gail. Yes it is far neater (is that a word?) and saves a lot of space and weight. Many Thanks Phil🙂👍

How does it control water pressure ? Does the van pump still operate if connected direct to the mains ?
@lostweekendscaravan2 ай бұрын
Hi Chris. Good question. Built in within the pipe there is a plastic box which is a pressure reducing valve. I leave the pump on to balance the internal water pressure. The pump only activates when using the taps. The system refills and then switches off when the system has refilled. Truma have made this pipe system to work with their pumps. It saves your back when lugging a full Aqua Roll. Hope I have explained this for you. Thanks Phil. 👍🙂

Always make sure your hose is food safe grade otherwise it will taste bad have you ever had a problem with the inline pressure reducing valve squeaking when building up pressure every time tap is closed
@lostweekendscaravan6 ай бұрын
Hi Andrew. Yes food grade is a must. In answer to your question. No we have had no issues at all. I have used both makes now and they both do a great job. Thanks Phil 👍🙂

Hi there, can you please advise why you put on Red and Grey Hozelock connectors on the flat hose? I've always thought about doing this, the Ultraflow hose has me swearing at it every time when trying to wind it up, great idea to cut it down, What length do you suggest to cut it from the tap? Great video :)
@lostweekendscaravan8 ай бұрын
Hi Lee. I did not put an amazon link re the flat hose because I bought it at the Manchester Show. The ones on Amazon were poor at best so I will not link crappy products as this is not fair. I cut 5 metres of the Truma hose which makes easier to handle. Hope this helps. Phil👍🙂

@@lostweekendscaravan Thanks, what is the difference between the Red and Grey Hozelock connections in your video? ;)

Here is a link to the Hozelock connectors. They are the same but a different colour. Cheers Phil. amzn.to/3QbhHN0

@@lostweekendscaravan Ah ok thanks, was puzzled with the colours. Thank you

Hi Lee. The connectors I have are old. The red one has water stop on it. The Grey is open flow. Hope that makes sense. Thanks Phil.😉

Won't the tank overflow and flood the van, I use the Aquaroll with the toilet cistern type valve to ensure the flooding does not happen, still can't understand what stops the water when onboard water tank is full using just the hose.
@lostweekendscaravan8 ай бұрын
Hi Edward. Good question. The short answer is no. This system connects the same way as the Truma aqua roll system via the pump. My van does not have an onboard tank so it is fed to the boiler via the pump. If this fails it will fail outside the caravan. Used these in-line systems for 6 years and never had an issue. I can understand your concern though. I suppose it is what we are comfortable using I guess. Many Thanks Phil. 🙂👍

@@lostweekendscaravan We are having a new caravan in a fortnight's time and it has an onboard tank. I've always been comfortable in the past with the setup like @edwardfinnon766 mentioned, Aquaroll and float, for the same peace of mind that any malfunction would be outside the van. It would be a shame not to take advantage of the constant flow, and I feel more comfortable reading that you've had the direct connection for 6 yrs without incident. Thanks for the video and advice, much appreciated.

@@Tadztoo hi every caravan owner’s nightmare is a fully serviced water system go wrong and flood the van. We had the whale system before which went wrong. It did not flood the van as everyone thought. They blow outward as they are designed that way. You will be ok just look after your equipment and it will look after you. This what we show on all our videos. This is why I record my Sunday tinkering videos. Relax and enjoy your new caravan. Thanks Phil and Juliet 🙂👍
