I had a Dan day the other week. Thought I had hit 3 balls into wood and water and ended up hitting twiggy trees and getting lucky bounces into the middle of the fairway. Being Dan is very nice.

It can't be a coincidence that the best shots Matt seems to be hitting with his longer clubs are when he accidentally "over swings" (relatively) and actually sets his wrists on the back swing. What exactly is restricting his wrist hinge supposed to achieve? Not being argumentative, I'm just genuinely curious.

David Thomas !!!!! I have wanted to write this same comment. I tried to replicate his swing out of interest, lost some consistency unless I had the ball way back in my stance. Then went and had a lesson after a few weeks and the pro told me I wasn’t setting my wrists properly and it was making me cast (ball back in stance was a subconscious cheat). Fixed the wrist set, started hitting it much better.
