Dear Mr Trump, there are certain ex servicemen of a certain Regiment in the UK who wrote the book on personal protection and high level security who have trained, or their training is followed by most other law enforcement throughout the world. Even some the USA's special forces are based on them and use their training methods. If, as it's being reported that they had SS teams ahead of Trump on the golf course to clear it, why were there no dogs involved? Used in most areas these days, and should be used more. Even my 16 year old half deaf collie would have probably sniffed out someone in the bushes. The problem is that certain law enforcement dept's in the US think that their way is the only way, and do not have actual experience of live situations. If I was Trump i'd keep the Secret Service there to carry his golf clubs and park his cars. He needs proper security that have the experience of what a hostile area is as they know what to look for before it happens. Think the 1st thing Trump will do when elected is totally get rid of senior SS pen pushers as seems they are not up to the job.

I don't understand how the secret service can fire shots, but the guy they shoot at gets away. Don't get me wrong, I understand the effective distance of a pistol, but I'm talking about the apparent lack of ability for secret service to already have, or at least very quickly call in, a circle of influence/control from which the shooter is unable to get away. The guy should have been caught within 2 minutes of it happening. The whole area should have been swarmed with every single government asset available. How can there not be a command center somewhere that a minute after this happened was already finished calling in everyone else, and was now down to calling Forest Rangers 150 miles away to start closing down roads into secluded areas just in case. Hell, I'd expect the US Secret Service to have enough power that they could have my local police here in the Netherlands come arrest me within 2 minutes of me posting this, on a level of "GO NOW AND ARREST HIM AT ALL COSTS, BREAK DOWN HIS DOOR, WHATEVER IT TAKES" without even having to explain why initially. What they demonstrated today is that someone with enough/better planning could literally kill a (former) US president and get away with it to a point they'll never even catch the guy.
